The hotel is superbly located near Garilbaldi train station and next to a bustling trendy piazza district called Corso Como. It's very easy to get around Milan using their metro, so we found going to the attractions very easy. Being next to Corso Como you have a wide array of boutique fashion shops and more importantly restaurants. The hotel was very clean, decent sized rooms, the internet was very good, buffet breakfast was very good too. The only thing we found and we are being very picky was the pillows were either too hard or too low. We just didn't find the right ones. However the beds were excellent size and the kid's bed was larger than we first thought.
Staff were great in and were quite helpful.
We would definitely be staying again here - we loved it. Moreover, the most impressive thing was the location.
Our first stop in Italy and staff were very helpful. We loved everything about this hotel, where it was, the bar, the breakfasts and really enjoyed the whole atmosphere. We wouldn't hesitate to make it our first choice on returning to this city. Stayed at 7 different locations around Italy and we still have fond memories of our arrival here and how much we enjoyed it. Beautiful shops and parks all within close walking distance and lovely coffee and cakes right across the road. Gave us a real Italian feel the minute we arrived. From this hotel easy to catch a train for a day outing too. And not to forget the price, value for money compared to many other places we stayed throughout the country. All round terrific!
"Nice stay across the street from Garibaldi station"
We only stayed one night in this hotel, but we really liked it.
The staff was wonderful, the room was nice and comfortable and the included breakfast was excellent.
The location was excellent: metro and bus stops on the same block, across the street from Garibaldi station and just down the street is a pedestrian area with lots (a few blocks worth) of great dining options.
For being so close to so many things we did not notice any noise in our room.
We were finishing a 9 night trip through Northern Italy. We needed safe parking and a location convenient to some of the historic locations. Parking was UNDER the hotel and we were able to enjoy the trolley to the Duomo and LaScala and a pleasant 15-20 minute walk "home". True, it was daytime - not sure I'd "walk-it" at night but, I'm unlikely to walk after dark in ANY major city.
The bath and the bedding were wonderful and cost of parking VERY reasonable.
One odd thing: the restaurant was not open on a Saturday night, so, we ordered from a limited room service menu. EXCELLENT Bistro Salad, very nice bottle of "value priced" white wine, and a mediocre lasagna dish.
All-in-all, a very pleasant stay that delivered good value.
The front desk staff was excellent always very helpful. Good recommendations on transportation and directions to the important sites. They helped us setup BikeMi, rental bikes in Milan great way to get around. We had a great time because of their help.
This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel and I always choose it because of its good location, large rooms and friendly staff. It is good value for money for Milan.
The only problem is that, at the moment, there are renovations going on and, although there was no work taking place over the weekend, the noise started quite early on the Monday morning. However, when we checked in, the receptionist did say that we could move hotels if we wanted to but we declined.
Not too far out from the centre, we walked in both days of our stay. Rooms were clean and the staff friendly. Only down side is not many places close to the hotel to eat and drink. Already planning our next visit to this lovely city, will definately stay again.
One of Milan’s most fashionable areas, Porta Garibaldi is also the business district of the city and Italy’s powerhouse. From here there is access to all areas including the chic Brera quarter, full of designer boutiques and art galleries. The most famous of these is the Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan’s best gallery housing one of Italy’s greatest art collections and spanning 700 years of Italian art.
