"Gorgeous views of Florence from rooftop pool/bar"
The Kraft Hotel is an older, but lovely hotel. Pros: Gorgeous panoramic views of Florence from the hotel rooftop pool & bar areas. Small but nice pool. Nice restaurant & breakfast. Large room & bathroom with tub. Location was central and car rentals were within 2 minutes of walking distance.
Cons: formal staff. We actually found this throughout most of Italy that hotel staff were very formal & polite but quite distant. Trying to get recommendations for what to do in the areas was quite difficult.

This was an amazing hotel and made my trip to Florence great. The walk to all the tourist attractions was very short and easy. If you use the City Sightseeing tours, there is a stop right by the hotel too. The breakfast in the morning was very good as well. The hotel staff was beyond friendly! I was able to speak to several of them and each person was very friendly and accommodating. They even allowed me to store something in their fridge so it would not go bad. My only complaint (and it is a very small one) is that the WiFi was slow in my room, but that really had no impact on me enjoying the hotel. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Beautiful hotel in Florence. It's close to the train station in a quiet area. It's within walking distance to the piazzas, but it's a little bit of a walk, maybe an extra 10 mins walk.
Rooms are large, clean and ornate.
Great hotel especially for the price.
Marco was a wonderful host and made us feel like we were right at home. He is so helpful and friendly. He help us a lot in showing us where to go, eat and shop. Just his service and hospitality made our experience a 5/5. Breakfast is provided daily and he offers to make us coffee (cappuccino/latte). We felt very safe at his B&B. The location is very convenient from Firenze Santa Maria Novella (Florence Central Train Station). It is about an 8 minute walk from the train station, which was really important for us. We used Florence as our base as we made day trips to Pisa and Siena, so staying at a place close to the train station was ideal. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.

Stayed with my daughter for 4 nights...absolutely loved everything about this hotel...service was great from the reception staff to housekeeping...within walking distance of all Florence attractions...
The B&B was perfect for what we needed, the price was cheap in comparison to other Florence hotels. The breakfast was a bit basic but it filled us up and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. When we were there, there was a very unhappy lady who was complaining because she wasn't able to get into the property for a long time when she arrived. On our booking it clearly said that check in was before 6pm and you had to contact the B&B directly if you were going to be late. I think she had missed this - I am mentioning this because I imagine she will leave a very negative review and I don't believe that this is a fair impression of the hotel. It only took us around 10 minutes to walk to the very centre of Florence and the walk back in the evening felt safe and it was lit the whole way back.
