The Outrigger Holiday Apartments were in a great location. It was quiet and the apartments were well equipped and clean. Amanda and Peter were very friendly and happy to help when needed. I will be recommending these apartments to family and friends. A great place to stay. Heather

Lovely midrange accommodation in Port Douglas. Kids loved the pool and bbq by the pool was great option, pool open until 10pm. Food and sundries left by previous guests were offered to incoming guests which was a nice touch. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Able to walk to everything in Port Douglas.

Amanda and Peter were great! Loved how they take care of you! The apartment had a lovely home feel to it. So it was lovely to come back and feel at ease at the end of the day there. Loved the communal sharing of things left by prior visitors. The recommendations from Amanda with tours to take was spot on! Thoroughly enjoyed them all. What a great trip and made my bucket list complete with the Great Barrier Reef! Thank you! Best of luck with it going forward, not that you’ll need it!

We loved our stay at Port Douglas Outrigger and would recommend it to friends and come back again. Peter and Amanda are lovely and helpful hosts. The crocodile cruise they booked us on was great too. The pool is heated so it’s really pleasant to swim in during winter but still refreshing. The “leftovers” fridge of communal items was super helpful for our self catering, not having to buy sauces, salad dressings and condiments to uplevel our home meals was perfect. The apartments are compact but contain everything you need. The location is perfect - really easy to walk downtown and we barely used our hire car while here, in fact you can easily not have a car in Port Douglas unless you want to do independent travel to various sites.

A week in Port Douglas
The Outrigger was a great location to stay in Port Douglas. Only 5 minutes' walk to the central shopping center and the marina. The rooms were clean and spacious plus it was not too big so it remained quiet. The pool was at a good temperature - not too hot or cold and clean. The managers were a great source of information and very friendly. We had a great time the only downer was the weather was not all that perfect but we cannot blame the Outrigger for that!!

Awesome midrange family appartments. Good-sized balcony, washing / drying in bathroom, decent kitchen, good parking. Wifi sucked (thank God!). Great hosts / managers. Five minute walk to centre of town, yet quiet. Pool good enough for kids to love. Definitely not a luxury pricepoint. We'll be back.

It offers an actual-measured 80mbps download speed and 35mbps upload speed and scores a 9.4/10 on another booking site. Couples getaway
The outrigger was amazing, the apartment was spacious very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Location was perfect it is quiet but only 5 minute walk to town. Peter and Amanda made us feel very welcome, they are very knowledgeable about places to eat and tours to do, which they are more than happy to organise for you. The pool was amazing and not to cold. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Outrigger was fabulous. Amanda and Peter are wonderful managers. They are very knowledgeable about all the activities in and around Port Douglas. They have an ability to make you feel at home. The location was perfect, as you can stroll in a matter of minutes to the centre of town and Four Mile beach. The unit was spotless and fully equipped for cooking, washing clothes and dishes. The balcony was such a relaxing place to spend a few hours catching the afternoon sun. My absolute favourite place at the resort was the pool, just magical and beautifully maintained by Peter. We will definitely return next year!

Lovely spacious apartment. Comfortable and clean. Amanda and Peter are wonderful hosts, who gave us tips on where to go and what to see. Thanks for the coffee tip, Peter. Walking distance to the Main Street, Four Mile beach and the marina. The pool was amazing; always in dappled light so great for not getting sunburned. We spent many hours in this pool. We would definitely stay at the Outrigger again.

A fantastic experience at the Outrigger
Our family had a great experience at Outrigger. Amanda and Peter were hospitable and provided great services for setting up excursions to experience Cairns. They greeted us everyday with a smile and friendly nature that we felt at home. My son really enjoyed the pool and children’s area where he was able to play with the toys there and bring beach toys to enjoy at 4 Mile Beach. I would highly recommend this vacation service apartment if you are ready to have a lovely experience and receive amazing service. The Outrigger really knows how to represent Australia 🇦🇺. An easy holiday - perfect location, walking distance to everything, clean, comfortable, all the necessities, pool and bbq. But, by far, the best thing about the Outrigger are the owners, Amanda and Peter, who go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is as good as it can be. Communication prior was excellent, and I booked all my tours through Amanda, who gave me some great suggestions and ideas. We had a great time.

Great location to everything and was reasonably priced. Ten minute walk to downtown, beach and mariina. The owners took to time to speak to you to ask you how things were going on our trip.

Port Douglas Gem
Amanda and Peter are wonderful hosts. No request is to big or to small. The property is located within a 10 minute walk to the beach or the marina or the main shopping area. Perfect location. Our 1 bedroom unit was very well equipped with everything we needed to cook a meal right down to the salt and pepper! They have a community fridge for condiments so no need to purchase a bottle of salad dressing if you only need a serving or two. Great idea! Our bed was comfortable and the Air con much appreciated for sleeping! The undercover parking was very nice. There is no elevator so be prepared to walk a flight or two of stairs. Great exercise. Would definitely stay again.

Great apartments in a good location
We had a ground floor apartment. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen area was well setup for self catering. The laundry facilities were very good and we made use of them. The pool was very welcoming on our return from a hot day sightseeing.

Great managers, knowledgeable and thoughtful. Room was well equipped and the communal fridge for things to donate for the next people staying is a great idea. Close to Macrossan st.
