“Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda Find”

Carlson's Port Charlotte location offers consistent quality of service at a modest price relative to competitors in the Punta Gorda area. Friendly staff and included breakfast variety amid a clean and attractive decor assure the guest is made to feel at home in this suburban property.

Area recommendations

Superb restaurants abound just across the bridge in Punta Gorda. Special attractions include the Fisherman's Village complex with shops, restaurants and marina offering resort quality crafts, fashion and food in a sea side setting.

“A Wonderful South Florida Getway”

My wife and I were very pleased with the accomidations, friendly and courteous staff, as well as the continental breakfast was superb. We will definitely be returning for a visit in the future.

“New, clean, good location, rock solid for the money”

It is a fairly new hotel that is centrally located right off the interstate with several eating and shopping options nearby. It being new everything is clean and in working order. The complimentary breakfast was the typical layout, very adequate to meet your needs. All in all it was a very nice hotel for the money and would go back in the future.

Shopping

About 30 minutes south off the interstate is a place called the Shell Factory. Just a really neat place that has been around for years. Very unique items for sale that you just aren't going to find in a Wal-Mart or Target. Plus they have a small zoo like attraction that is very neat because its more up close and personal, the kids just loved it.

Outdoors or beach

It is not immediately nearby, about 30 miles north but Siesta Key is as beautiful a beach as you will find anywhere in the world. The beach was clean, wonderful white sand, very fine almost confectionary sugar like granules. This is a must see if you have time.

“Enjoyed my three night stay”

The hotel is conveniently located at the intersection of I5, Vetrans Blvd. and Kings Highway. A Super Walmart is located less than 1/2 mile away or a 15 minute walk. The room is clean and quiet. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast with both hot waffles, hot eggs or other cooked selections as well as cereal, yogurt and pastries. Free newspapers are available. Enjoy your stay.

“quality hotel”

a very pleasant hotel even though it is on a busy road. Once you are inside the staff are very friendly and look after your needs, the furniture was of good quality , the lounge was made to look old and country themed woth bookcases, old fireplace etec., The breakfast had alot of variety( to what i had in other hotel)s. It would be nice to have boiled eggs for a change, just a sugestion! The hotel was very clean. The hotel room was very nice, with lots of bath towels, i would recommend it.

“Nice Hotel Stay”

I believe this is a fairly new hotel. The room was decorated nicely as well as the bathroom. Everything was clean and neat. The staff working there was very friendly. Overall, it was a great stay, when I go back to Port Charlotte, I will get another room from this hotel again because of my experience there.

“Satisified Canadian”

Our stay was for two weeks and the hotel was very comfortable, hot breakfast, and a heated pool. The location was a little hard to locate as the street to the hotel was not marked, but with GPS it was located easily. There are resturants and shopping near by and easy access to hwy 75 and points north and south. This hotel was always full particularly on the weekends but staff handled their guest with ease.
