“A pleasure in Poros”

We arrived in Poros in pouring rain on the chilly off season. The hotel owner was happily waiting for us at the ferry dock. He was so accommodating and wanted us to enjoy our stay. He recommended restaurants and areas of interest. He even gave us a total island tour the next day (it was very low season). He takes pride in his property and was so pleasant. Poros would not have been the same without him. I am glad that I picked this island and hotel for my trip. Luckily, the next day was warm and sunny, so we ended our time there with everything perfect.

“super hotel”

sehr gutes preis-leistungsverhaeltnis.saubere zimmer,gross mit balkon.ruhige lage,aber doch nahe am naechsten strand-askeli beach.sehr nett auch der besitzer nikos,der wirklich alles getan hat um uns einen angenehmen aufenthalt zu garantieren.poros ist wirklich einen besuch wert.wunderschoene insel mit tollen tavernas und vor allem gutem und billigem essen.

By car From Athens: take the highway to Corinth. After the Loutraki Exit, take the next exit signposted for Epidavros . Follow this road until you reach Palea Epidavros, and then take the road to Kranidi/Porto-Heli. After a mile or so, turn left at the sign for Galatas-Poros and carry on until you reach Galatas. Ferries run from Galatas to Poros every 30 minutes, and the crossing only takes 10 minutes. On arrival at Poros, turn left out of the ferry port, and follow the road straight on for about 2 miles. Turn left after the Evriali Pizzeria and go on for about 200 metres/218 yards; you will see the hotel on the corner to your left. By airplane From Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH): catch either the E96 Bus or the metro (changing from the blue to green line at Monastiraki Station) to Pireaus Port, where you can take a ferry boat or hydrofoil (the 'Flying Dolphin') to Poros. The bus terminal is outside the arrivals terminal, and goes straight to Pireaus and takes about 1 hour. Make sure you check the ferry and hydrofoil time tables in advance to avoid a long wait for the next ferry/hydrofoil at Pireaus Port. The journey time to Poros is about 2 hours 15 minutes by ferry, or 1 hour by hydrofoil. When you arrive in Poros, get a taxi or a public bus to Askeli, where the hotel is located. There are 2 buses, one going to Askeli and the monastery and the other to Neorio, Love Bay and Russian bay.
