“Loved it here!!”

We stayed here at the end of a hectic holiday. When we checked in, we were offered drinks, then we were able to use the spa facilities while we waited for our rooms to be ready (we arrived early). The children adored the indoor pools (they were 10months and 5 years) and outdoor ones. There is so much to discover within the resort, and the staff are really helpful if you ever need something.

“A beautiful hotel in a beautiful place”

Hotel Parco San Marco is a wonderful hotel which ensures your welcome from the very start. My only complain would be that in low season only the main restuarant was open and that supplements were payable for all extras eg/ airconditioning & car parking. Despite this I would not hesitate to return.

“Fabulous Hotel, Fabulous Location”

We stayed at this hotel with our two children, aged 7 and 5, for 5 nights in July 2007. We were extremely pleased with the hotel and all of its facilities. The location was fantastic with every room having a lake view. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The children were very happy with the hotel swimming pools and the playground, and of course the giant chess game in the garden. The private beach was a very relaxing alternative to the swimming pool area, with ample shade provided by the trees. The hammocks on the upper terrace were my favourite area of relaxation. The only fault we could find was with Club Bambini. The club was a bit disorganised and although they had a program of events they didn't seem to follow it, thereby letting the children down when they were very excited about a scheduled event which then just didn't happen. Overall, our stay was extremely enjoyable, and we would recommend it to anybody.

“5 star service in a child friendly hotel”

When driving towards this hotel I couldn't help wondering how any hotel the size of Parco San Marco was going to fit on the sheer slopes of the hills surrounding Lake Lugano. It did manage it though and that is part of its charm. The guest rooms are spread chalet-like up the terraced hill resulting in a wonderfully manicured labyrinth. Care seems to be taken in every detail at this hotel. The gardens, the room designs, the facilities. There was plenty to do in the hotel, from the spa facilities, pool lounging, hammock lounging, playgrounds and an extensive lakeside watersports facility. Very family orientated, but couple can still enjoy, as the children seemed well behaved. Only negative point was a lack of air conditioning in our suite.

“Beautiful and relaxing”

This hotel is in a beautiful setting, very relaxing. The staff are friendly and helpful. My stay here was so relaxingand peaceful. I competely lost track of time.

“Whow - What more coould I ask for”

This is indeed a hotel that caters for your needs. Very family orientated and although the hotel was full there was so many different areas you could go to find peace and quiet. There are daily onsite activities for all to participate. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is approx 1.5 hours from Milan MXP I was in a party of four adults so it was value for money to arrange a taxi(180 EUR) to the hotel. Don't begrudge the taxi fee as it is worth it for the views you see during the journey to the hotel. Do take a walk to Porlezza which is about 25 minutes at a slow pace. There you will find lots of cafe's, tourist board, bank and a supermarket. If you don't want to walk the hotel sells bus tickets to Porlezza and many other destinations, just ensure you have the bus timetable, the buses were always on time. We travelled on buses to Lugano, which is well worth visiting, make sure you visit the old part of the town as there you will find shops which are in the price range of average shoppers. We also went to Menaggio and Bellaggio and finished with a shopping trip to Milan. The Photo's taken are wonderful as the views from our apartment were wonderful and the grounds well maintained. Do take a swim in the lake it really is refreshing, just wear soft shoes as the stones can be rough. I spent six days there but feel they were lots more to see and do, cannot wait to go again.

“Comprehensive and friendly service”

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very obliging and were always happy to help with any requests. The accomodation was clean and comfortable and the setting beautiful. The food was good but we did have to have the evening meals translated to us as the menus are in Italian and German only. It is an ideal place for a couple or young family. Porlezza is a small resort so we would recommend having transport to see other areas around Lake Lugano and Lake Como. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

“Super hotel”

This hotel is in a lovely location, although a car is really required as its not a walk to Porlezza. The staff are helpful, the facilities good and all kept immaculately.The restaurants are of good standard and there are a couple more within a short, level walk. Would suit couples and families.

“How we loved this place!!!”

First thing - the view from all rooms is simply stunning. It is of Lake Lugano, then the mountains on the other side of the lake. Unbelievable. There is a lot to do here - relax, go on excursions, swim, spa, meditate, play in the playground, hire a boat ... We all absolutely loved it (young family).
