Hotel in Tobago Turtle Beach

Pros: I liked the food only.
Cons: Hotel need activities for kids as well as adults. Life guards need to be posted by the pool since lots of kids was present.
Location: Location was find. Hotel provided no activities..
I was not very impressed with the hotel. For the price i paid for the trip I expected better. Daily i had to ask for towels for the the room. Sheets and pillow case was not changed daily. No activity at the hotel. Ex: No tours to see the island, no lifeguards for the pool nor beaches...

Island Paradise

Pros: How quiet it was around there. The cleanliness of the grounds and pool. And the beach was nice The staff was very pleasant and greeted you by name
Cons: Dinner started earlier. Breakfast end later. A Spa would be great. More variety in the shop. The free Wi-Fi was hard to keep connected in the room
Location: Non-motorized watersports were included in the price. You could go snorkeling or take a Glass Bottom Boat ride approximately 15 minutes away.
It was a very relaxing week. Everyone was very friendly. Food was good with a good variety every day. Dain Henry, Server, was exceptional and very knowledgeable of the Island. The Man at the Excursion desk, booking the excursions would not help with any excursions except the ones he was booking. The pool and grounds were always clean. There was not a variety of drinks to choose from at the bar. I would definitely go back to this Resort. It is not a big tourist island, but a safe island.

Terrible Honeymoon, Turtle Seafacing Room

Pros: The food, very good chef
The front desk staff is very unhelpful, our refrigerator was not stocked for our entire stay as we paid for, even after telling the front desk twice, the coffee maker in the room was not clean, still had coffee from the previous guests use. The room was always damp, the room walls were ALWAYS wet, even thought we took the AC off when not in the room. The premium movie channels consisted of HBO family and TNT which was in English on our arrival then within an hour it was in Spanish, complained to the front desk twice with was of no help. The restaurant staff were almost pleasant, we received an apology from our server when we saw a white substance flowing around our coke, however the bartender was not as apologetic. Would not stay here again

Great location, but the rooms were average

This place was all about the location really. The rooms were pretty average and considering we paid the same amount as some of the best 5 star hotels in the world I've been to on business, it was a little disappointing in this respect. Mosquitoes could get into the room easily so we got bitten quite a bit (even though we had repellent). The beach was great, however, and the pool was nice. Food was good and it was nice to have all-inclusive, so you could get drinks from the bar whenever you wanted. Overall worth the visit, but don't expect the rooms to be like the Hyatt in Port of Spain!

The beach was wonderfully empty. The water warm. Our room was much larger than expected with a beautiful ocean view. The down side of our visit is the food options were pretty limited and many of the staff need to work on their people skills.

This hotel was good enough for our stay in Tobago. Our main critique is that the "All Inclusive" status of the resort is misleading. While the food, for instance, was very nicely prepared, you could only eat at set breakfast/lunch/dinner times. Also, we checked in slightly early the day of our arrival because of when our transport brought us to the hotel and we were informed that we had to pay for our own lunch separately from the All inclusive rate we pre-paid. The reason stated was that our coverage only began at 3pm and not earlier. Every All-Inclusive place we have been to before would let you eat (esp. being very hungry from travel) without additional charge. Lastly, the children's pool was a highlight and we appreciated it.

This property is tired and needs a major overhaul. Staff is lacking, food is just passable, there were even stray dogs living at the resort. Not impressed. For the price I would never consider this resort again

Could have been better

My family and I booked 7 rooms at this resort for 3 nights. We requested king-sized, ground floor rooms close to each other before arrival. Upon arrival, we had to wait until 4pm to have 5 of our rooms ready and another hour for the other 2 rooms. When we finally got to our rooms we realized we were placed in the furthest corner of the resort, on the third floor!! Btw, there was no elevator so the 70-year olds in our group had to make the trek across the resort and up the stairs. Another treat: our beds were not all king sized. We only got 2 rooms with king sized beds. The other rooms ranged from 2 to even 3 single beds! When we informed the front desk they told us we might be able to get 2 of the rooms changed the following day- This never happened. We were just so fed up with the poor service we decided to just settle for the rooms we got. Dinner was ok that night, long wait and queue aside. The next morning however was an awful breakfast experience. We waited in queue for more than an hour to be seated and by that time there were very little options in the buffet and nothing was being replenished, not even clean plates! When we thought it couldn't get worse, we didnt have water in our rooms for a couple hours that afternoon. And no television reception either. Things started to get better by the third day. The meals were very tasty and the pool and bar was awesome. We made the best of our short vacation and would definitely stay here again if standards improve!
