Nice room close to the beach

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: I like the general atmosphore, very relaxing.
Cons: Staff can be a little more pleasant especially at the front desk at night, also the stray dogs on the beach need to be addressed.
My overall experience was okay, some of the staff were more accomodating than others, it might have nice to have someone to assist with taking bags to the room as I was unsure where it was and it was a long trek to the room.

Great Hotel on the Beach

Posted 11-Mar-2015
Pros: Great location and great entertainment - perfect for a relaxing beach vacation!
Cons: The hotel could use some renovations and the hotel staff could be a little friendlier but nothing was horrible.
Location: A man approached us about doing a glass-bottom boat tour at Pigeon Point - providing transportation both ways. It was great!
We had a great experience at Turtle Beach Resort! At check-in, we were greeted by complimentary rum punch, a drink we instantly loved and were able to enjoy throughout our stay. The meals at the resort we decent - nothing too amazing but a good mix of the local flavors. Evening entertainment was great - we had a singer our first night and steel drums the second. On our first night, the bartender instructed us to follow the crowd to the beach, where we saw a 300 pound turtle burying her eggs on the beach. The rooms were okay - a little outdated but clean with amenities. The common areas were great - the resort is literally right on the beach! We would definitely stay here again!

Nothing Special

Posted 28-Jan-2015
The resort was beautiful, the people were lovely, in late January most of the guests were older white couples. This is not the kind of all inclusive that has a vast array of food options at all times. Meals are provided 3 times a day and then there are VERY light snacks at 4pm for high tea. I would have preferred more food options and for food to be available all day. I love to eat and I rarely go hungry on vacations but I did starve a bit during my stay at Turtle Beach. In addition to not having food available at all times, the food that they did have was average. Many of the buffet options were overcooked and flavorless. The alcoholic beverages are available most of the day and evening and they are decent. The resort was clean, the beach is an average Caribbean beach, nothing was special about the water, sand, cleanliness, or activities. This was a cute quick getaway and the wifi was fantastic. I would not come here with a large group of young people as there is nothing to do. I would not stay here again and I would be embarrassed to recommend this place to anyone else. It is a good value for the money.

Bra hotell vid fin strand

Posted 24-Jan-2015
Bra rum och stor säng och fin utsikt över stranden. Maten är bra men ett minus är poolens renlighet. Inte ok. Annars toppen;)

Find Another Resort

Posted 02-Jan-2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Almost everything.
Location: Glass-bottom boat tour was a joke: too many people for snorkeling with no fins and very difficult boat access.
Turtle Beach is on a very nice stretch of beach but the wave action can make it uncomfortable to get in. The rooms are old and ours always seemed vaguely dirty. The mattress was old and saggy and the room was serviced late in the day. Beach towels were sometimes unavailable. On some nights the food was barely edible but the breakfasts and desserts were generally good. There were many children so this is no place for a romantic get-away.

Jättefint. Vi hade all-inclusive vilket vi inte brukar, men det var bra för det är en bit till andra restauranger. Det var god mat och dryck, allting bra!. Mysig stämning i poolbar med inhemsk musik flera kvällar i veckan

Great location, terrible customer service

Posted 20-Nov-2014
Upon our arrival in the early morning we discovered check-in wasn't until 3pm which means you cannot get a bracelet to eat, drink or get a room until 3pm or later-no exceptions! The staff did not make us feel welcome. When we did get into the unimpressive room, the drain was clogged, the tv didn't work, and the comforter had yellow stains. The maintenance staff would come, but only drain the water that was already built up. We had to call everyday to get the shower drained, instead of just fixing the problem. When we went to dinner, men were forced to wear long pants and sleeved shirts or were not allowed to enter. It seemed unreasonable considering how extremely hot and humid it was. The dinner area is not air conditioned and there is no breeze. Plus meals are only served between short hours. Breakfast 7:30-9:30, lunch 12:30-2:30, dinner 7-9:30. Within the first 30 minutes of opening, trays of food would be empty and wouldn't be refilled. Many people would ask for help and they would be told food would be out in 5 minutes. 5 minutes often meant an hour or more and sometimes just wouldn't be replenished. Food was not available any other time. Staff in General were very rude. Sucking heir teeth at us and giving is dirty looks. Cleaning staff did not clean the room everyday and only they could get you if you clean towels or toilet paper (not available at the front desk).

Not a great all inclusive

Posted 29-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel property itself is like any other carribean hotel. Its not the prettiest but it works. My room was modern enough. It's further out, so you need taxis to get around. When we got there, wifi was already down with no clue when it would be up. The thought of five days no wifi..you mean I have to wait to upload my vacstion pics to Facebook? If you got an all-inclusive deal, note, you can only eat food during the hours they serve breakfast, lunch & dinner. That's different from other all-inclusives I've been to. We arrived after lunch very hungry and had to wait until dinner time to eat. There isn't anything close and you can't just walk down the block. Food choices..not very good. Two drinks at a time at the bar. What? I'm on vacation for heavens sake! Staff is very uptight. Expect smiles only from the folks at the front desk. I think this place works for a certain generation or families with kids. I left after a night.
