“It Was Just Fine!”

It's a nice hotel, clean room, lobby looks nice, staff was nice, suited my purpose for a quick visit. Very quiet in my room, but we were at the far end of the hall away from the elevators and vending machines, I always request that at check-in. The usual amenities in the room. I'm a little put out when a hotel can not offer SOMETHING for breakfast, I've stayed at many lesser hotels that offer continental breakfast or more. Hey, come on, it shouldn't be that hard for a big company like Marriott

“Walnut Creek Marriott”

No noteworthy deficiencies or positives. Check in was smooth, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall, it's an ordinary, generic-looking hotel, nothing to write home about.

Area recommendations

Didn't visit the neghborhood but based upon what I could see from the hotel, the area didn't look particularly interesting.

“Love this hotel!”

I've stayed at the Walnut Creek Marriott and have been very happy with their service, the comfortable bed and the restaurant food. If I decide to stay at a hotel in Walnut Creek, the Marriott is my first choice.

“noisy”

when i arrived late there was nowhere to park and they told me i could park several blocks away under an underpass. being tired and 7 months pregnant i chose to valet it. when i checked in i requested a quiet room and they said it would be difficult since the hotel was booked. i said i had requested this a month ago on my reservation. luckily i brought my earplugs....there were party rooms on the same floors as the rooms and it was noisy through the night. i would not stay there again. i have been spoiled by marriotts around the world and this did not compare. the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. the breakfast was nice in the morning. customer service at breakfast was much better than the check in staff and the valet staff.

“Pleasant Marriot”

The Marriot in Walnut Creek is very pleasant. It is near BART and the freeway. It is very modern in design. I had a pleasant stay.

“central atrium and freeway proximity mean noise inside and out”

I moved rooms twice in the two nights I was there. Once for freeway noise audible from the room with closed windows. Twice for a loud private party which went on until 11:30pm, again noise audible from the atrium side through closed windows. Would not stay here again for this reason.

Walnut Creek is a difficult place to stay, with few hotels of even Marriott calibre, and most below, or motels.

“Pleasant and Convenient”

Stayed here when visiting friends in East Bay area. Very convenient spot, easy to hop on 24 or 680 to get to destinations in Pleasanton, Oakland, & Walnut Creek. Very quiet, clean hotel. Not resort material, but perfect for a place to unload bags & get some time to myself between social engagements.

“It Had Everything”

I went to Walnut Creek for a couple of days to do Christmas Shopping and stayed at this Marriott. It was perfect in so many ways. We checked in late after a day of shopping and their dining room was still open. Not only that we were given a coupon for 25% off our meal. The cost of the room was very moderate for the Bay Area and included a full breakfast for the 4 of us. Not only that, we could order it as room service. They made a little mistake in our order, forgetting our coffee, but that was corrected within 5 minutes. That's unheard of from room service in big hotels. Everything else was perfect. A big plus was it's proximity to the shopping area. Definitely will book again next time.

“Great place to stay”

We were in Walnut Creek for a family reunion. The hotel was conveniently located. The place was nicely decorated. We used both the restaurant and the bar with good service. We would stay there again.
