“Deferred maintenance”

The hotel staff was very friendly, but not very well organized at check in. Our non-smoking room was spacious, but was very smelly with the odor of stale cigarette smoke. The sofa and upholstered furnishings were a bit shabby. It was clear that the hotel staff knew about the smell, but offered no alternatives to correct it or to move us to another room.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Being a non-smoking hotel, I can assure you that the smell of cigarette is not a common occurrence at our hotel. I am very sorry if this was not the situation with your room. We frequently change our guests’ rooms if they find one that is more to their liking. I am sorry that this was not the case with yours; however, I can assure you that we would be more than happy to address all of your needs on future visits. In addition, we provide daily maintenance on our guest rooms. In doing so, we ensure you that we try and replace and/or refurbish any worn furnishings regularly, and will take a closer look at that room’s furnishings. Once again, thank you very much for your feedback. We hope to see you again at the Larkspur Landing Hotel in Pleasanton.

“we loved it!!!”

This hotel was awesome!! Clean friendly is an understatement. I just wish we could have stayed longer. The next time we are in town we will definitely stay longer.

“Favorite Hotel”

My husband and I have been staying here a couple weekends a year for @ four years. Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is great, evening cookies are addictive. Staff turnover is low, we see the same employees each visit, and they go out of their way to be helpful. The full kitchen is great. We frequently cook in or use the gas BBQ. We prefer the one bedroom suite over the studio because the refrigerator can be loud if you are used to sleeping in a quiet room.

“Smells like a curry restaurant”

Too much curry smell everywhere. Also, linens are a bit curry-like. Unless you are a curry fan, you may not like this place much.

“Okay for the $”

The room was clean. The staff was very helpful, and the bed was REALLY comfortable. I was surprised by that, in fact. Two things I wasn't crazy about: 1. I had to move rooms b/c of a strong ethnic food smell in the room originally assigned. This happens sometimes in hotels where they have microwaves and hotplates. 2. The location wasn't within walking distance of any restaurant, save a Denny's and the shuttle ran only during select times of the day, as they used the front desk staff for shuttle drivers also.

“Great place to stay”

The staff was incredibly friendly, we got warm chocolate chip cookies when we checked in, the room was clean and spacious, it was quiet, and overall I was very impressed with the quality of the hotel. My only complaint is that the bed was a little hard, but we would definitely stay there again.

“Pleasant Experience”

We enjoyed our stay at Larkspur Landing this past weekend. We found the hotel quiet and comfortable and conveniently located near freeways. The room was very clean from top to bottom,and hotel service was excellent. We discovered we had not been given wash cloths in our room. Upon contacting the front desk, a gentleman responded with three wash cloths that someone had taken the time to warm for our use. We appreciate attention to detail such as and will stay with this hotel chain again.

“Cinderrela Weekend”

I was very impressed with all the features of this hotel. The suite was well equipped, though we did not cook there due to arriving so late. The complimentary breakfast was very good. There was an outstanding selection of dairy, cereals, juices, etc. And the coffee was excellent!

Area recommendations

We were riding in the Cinderella Ride in Pleasanton and found this hotel to be in a perfect location for the start (Alameda County Fairgrounds). Easy access from the freeway, easy to find.
