“Nice breakfast set-up except that”

the pipe from the faucet in the sink leaked. Beds were pretty comfortable and the room was clean.

“Location near to visiting family,reasonable rates, comfortable accomodations”

We were very satisfied with our stay. Reasonable rates. The location was near to where we needed to go. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. We would stay there again.

Downtown walnut creek for shopping eating.Excellent restaurant,pasta primavera very near to the holiday express.

“Holiday Inn Express continues to impress us”

Holiday Inn Express Hotels are now our safe bet on car trips to less known areas because they are clean, current, good value, and friendly. This one is next to the highway so be wary of which room they give you because of noise.

Area recommendations
Get a Walnut Creek magazine for good ideas on local opportunites. We did personal business in area so did not explore much.

“Great with two small exceptions”

We got a great deal on this hotel and overall, we were satisfied. The breakfast buffet was good, getting to San Francisco was fast and easy, tons of restaurants just a mile or two away. However, on one of our nights there, about every 15 minutes, there would be a rumbling that lasted for a minute and felt like an earthquake! It wasn't terrible, but certainly disruptive. I told the front desk upon checkout and the lady just said she had never had that complaint before and that it wasn't an earthquake. Duh. She eventually gave a half-hearted "sorry." My other complaint was there was a small stickbug in our room one night and I almost died! Gross! Like I said, other than those two things, we enjoyed our stay.

“One of the best motel stays in years”

We stay in a lot of motels yearly. This was one of the very best. We will probably look for this chain on many, if not most, future motel stays.We could not find one negative at this establishment.

“Mixed feelings”

We stayed at this location once previously and were very pleased the first time. This time, the problems we had were pretty specific and probably fixable, but we didn't care enough/were too lazy to complain and have the problems addressed. The first problem is the huge construction site to the north, which was right outside our window. First thing in the morning we could hear the jackhammers. The plumbing in this particular room was also extremely noisy - we could hear loud and clear every time our neighbor used the faucet or flushed the toilet. This could be addressed by requesting a room facing the courtyard or on the opposite wing. Our second issue was the use of a really strong smelling air freshener - it was overwhelmingly strong and if I were prone to migraines would have set off an attack for sure every time we stepped in the room. Again, we saw several housekeeping staff during our stay but never bothered to let anyone know so the problem could have easily been remedied.

Any - this small area of the Bay Area has very few sketchy neighborhoods.

“Excellent hotel and great price”

Excellent hotel, got in on wed evening. They a happy hour mixer for the guest, they bbq hot dogs, hot links, and hamburgers with all the fixing. They also had chips, potato salad, sodas, water, wine and beer. The best part it was all free!!!! included in your stay. Another good thing is when i got to WC it was hot 99 degrees and the check in lady was great also offer me a cold water while i check in. Clean rooms, they offer break fast in the morining and free wifi. This is good if you have to do some work you can get it done back at the hotel. Great service close to everything!!! Will def stay here again.

“Nice to be so close to BART!”

Fulfilled all our needs, was comfortable and well located, and we'd go there again. Great complimentary breakfast was much appreciated.
