“Convenient to Downtown San Fransisco”
My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this wonderful hotel. We reside in Portland Oregon and take frequent "mini " vacations. BART is located about 2 minutes from the front door and allows easy assess to D/T San Fransisco. The hotel is not located near any shopping or decent restaurants but does provide shuttle service to downtown Walnut Creek . The room we had was quite comfortable. Comfy clean bed with widescreen tv. Another hi def tv in sitting area with chair, table, sofa, micro wave, coffee maker, and refrig. The table and chairs are a nice touch but no dishes or utensils are provided. Great heat and A/C controls . Fairly quiet room but we could hear our noisy neighbors next door and outdoor sound from Bart train . Great breakfast ! Complimentary hot food....yummy made to omlets ! Next time we plan on visiting San Fransisco we will definitely will stay here again.
“BART's in the bedroom”
Great hotel chain, nice comfortable and clean room. Breakfast in the morning was top notch. Did not attend the evening social hour. Only irritants were the BART rail line which passed right outside the hotel until late at night and then again early in the morning. Lost a good amount of sleep listening to the train traffic. If you are given a room on the far wing, the noise should not be that much of a problem. The other issue was the exorbidant fee for parking your car. Only valet service was offered at $16 a night.
“See you soon again!”
SFO to BART to Embassy Suites! See you soon again!
“Good however needs to improve”
we stayed 3 nights. 2nd day (after Thanksgiving) we left the hotel around 10 am and when we came back around 4 pm the room was not cleaned or done. This is unnaceptable. They did not make any accomodations and If I did not call the reception area they would not know. Its not a cheap hotel and this clearly will make me think If I want to come back again. The service needs to improve. In addtion, my inlaws were on a different room and they had the same experience, so I am suspecting that we were not the only one.
“Impressed”
Very impressed with this hotel. Everything was excellent-staff, room, breakfast, and location (very close to BART station).
“Great Stay”
We were in town for a company party in downtown Walnut Creek. This was a great place to stay as it was so close to the event. Front Desk arranged for a cab to get us there and we always love the Happy Hour and complimentary breakfast! The only issue was the proximity to the BART station. From our room you could hear the train running rather early in the morning.
“Very noisy”
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. However, the BART (elevated train) is right next to the hotel; the tracks were literally only yards from my room. As a result, I heard very loud trains all day and all night long every 20-30 minutes. I would not stay here again.
“Good position for BART rail system into the City”
Only 2 problems during our stay. Although we requested rooms on the opposite side to the railway line prior to arrival our request was not met,in fact our rooms were level with the railway line. Would not recommend staying on a Friday or Saturday night as the hotel is taken over by groups of teenagers who use the rooms for sleepovers and parties.
“Housekeeping needs work”
We had stayed here 2 years ago and were very satisfied. Very disappointed this time. The room looked run down and not well kept. 3 days in a row I had to call because they didn't leave enough bath towels in the room. I had 4 registered guests; 2 days they left 3 towels, the other day they left only 2! The telephone in the bedroom didn't work at all and the one in the living area needed the wire to be played with in order to work. We stayed 5 nights, 3 nights we came back to the room and it smelled like rotten eggs. I complained to the manager and he said he'd send someone up to deodorize. No one came, so I sprayed hairspray to try to improve the smell. I don't like the valet parking only rule. Not only are you charged a daily fee for it, but you also are tipping the valet every day. The breakfast was very good, but again the service was to be desired. There were dirty plates in the pile of "clean" plates to take. People were waiting around to get a table because they couldn't keep up with cleaning them. Overall, I was disappointed this time. The family I went to visit is moving so I guess I won't be going back again.
“Not my type of hotel”
For starters this hotel offers valet parking only($16 extra ) except on the weekend you can go in the wrong way and oak in some garage. When we walked into our room it smelled like someone had been smoking in it. There is bart that runs right next to the hotel, which didn't bother us because we were on the 8th floor.
