The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. I liked the pillows but some might find them a little too plush. There is a lounge on the premises, so after a long trip it was nice not to have to drive anywhere for a bit to eat. It was a convenient drive to San Francisco. Would stay there again.
Good hotel, GREAT cookies upon check-in. :) Not really a complaint, but maybe a suggestion--hotel staff should pick up room service trays more often, instead of leaving them to sit out on the hallway floors. (I passed by a room a few times and their trays remained outside their room at least 5hrs). It would just give the hotel a cleaner image IMO. Other than that, I would say GREAT hotel and would choose it again!
As a frequent business traveler to the Livermore area, I had normally stayed at the Hotels just off Airway Blvd.. but those have gotten overpriced and so I looked elsewhere. The Best Western fit the bill.
Right off the highway (although you will search for the entrance a bit the first time.. Map it before going)
Many restaurants within walking distance (There were very few near the Livermore hotels)
Nice large room with a comfortable bed
Decent internet speed without and upcharge (The Livermore hotels started charging)
Warm sunny pool with a hot tub
Breakfast consists of Coffee (decent enough), yogurt, muffins from a plastic bag (yuck) and self made waffles (the only good option)
Near a busy highway that you can hear a little in your room (never bothered me at night, slept fine)
I would stay there again.. just walk to Specialties or Black Bear dinner for breakfast
We asked for two queen beds because there were 4 of us. We got a king bed and a roll away bed, so we had to squeeze 3 people on the king and one on the roll away. I am not a complainer, so we just dealt with it. The hotel room was clean and so was the hotel. We did not use the pool area, but it looked clean, also. It was a nice area and very close to shopping and food. The hotel cleaning staff was kind of pushy though. They asked me twice when I was planning on checking out. Aparently they were in a rush to get the room cleaned. I felt rushed to leave even though I still had 2 hours before checkout time. All in all it was a good hotel and they also allow small pets for all you animal owners.
At the junction of I-580 and I-680, the city of Pleasanton is set in a valley just east of the Bay Area. Oakland is 25 miles (40 km) away. The city is home to Safeway corporate headquarters, and also the Alameda County fairgrounds.
