After a delayed flight we were greeted outside the hotel by one of the receptionists who helped with the luggage. We were then offered a drink of champagne or juice. Super introduction to the hotel. The hotel is unique in the respect that it was in four sections. The reception , restaurant and swimming pools being in section three. Our room was in section four. The room was superb overlooking the sea with a balcony. Wifi was free. We were offered an upgrade to a suite which I am sure was fabulous but we respectively declined. There are four bars but only two are open at any one time. As we were "all inclusive" we took advantage of the free cocktails. My wife being particularly fond of Blue Lagoon. The food was very good. I normally started with a typical English fry up but there was loads of choice. Similar to lunch and dinner. There were loads of different salads. Veal seemed a popular meat. Many choices of fish - fresh salmon , swordfish , perch and Hake to name those that I can remember. We had one issue with the AC but we reported it to reception and two engineers turned up within 30 mins and resolved the problem. Free towels were available for the pools. The reception area is fabulous and the staff efficient. They printed off our boarding passes and checked with the courier the pickup time to the airport. There is a SPAR shop close to the hotel and the beach is about 10 mins away. Porta Rico is the nearest town (from what I can gather ) which is 5 mins away by taxi
"Hotel within walking distance to two great beaches"
Very relaxing stay with excellent staff. Our food was fabulous, we did not lack anything. The staff was very receptive to our needs. The pools were fun and the optional spa was grand. We will return again next year.
Mogan is the most beautiful little village , and the Hotel cordial mogan playa was a dream . Everything you need is there , from facilities to food to entertainment to staff it had it all . I will definetly be returning back at least once a year for the amazing sunshine and blissful surroundings . Highly recommended .

Had hoped for a re-furbished room but none were available. However we were able to pay to upgrade to a 2 bedroomed apartment. Very well equipped, spacious terrace and comfortable bed. We only stayed for 3 days but would love to stay for longer on another occasion. An uphill walk on a poor pavement back to the hotel from the beach. Good local bus service to other resorts which, unless you rent a car or like a very inactive holiday, you are going to need to get to a range of shops and restaurants at other resorts.
What I liked most about this hotel was its location. The main entrance/reception appears quite a walk from the beach and centre, but as it is on the top floor, and you can enter and exit through the swimming pool area on the bottom floor, the walk is very easy to do. It's about 10 minutes walk, maybe less to the beach, and about the same to the main shopping area and restaurants. The room itself was fine. Beds were comfortable enough, shower was good and kitchen area was fine for what we needed it for. Air conditioning was included with the room type we had, but I think you have to pay for it if you book a standard room. Only real negative for me was that the pool area was quite small, so on most days it was too crowded to make me want to sit around it, so we went to the beach instead.
Didn't end up being as cheap as we expected as you get what you pay for. On arrival we where allocated a tiny basic room with tiny balcony and a poor view the result being we paid a further €60 euros to upgrade and an additional €30 euros to clean our room which we had to stay in for 1 night until a better room was available (apparently)
food was good hotel is lovely pool really nice would go again but pay for an upgrade to the apartment or new refurb rooms

We had a great holiday in Puerto de Mogan and would recommend both the resort and the hotel. Plenty to do in the area if you like walking, sunbathing/relaxing, swimming, exploring, etc. Good choice of restaurants and small shops in Puerto de Mogan. We had an apartment high up overlooking the new hotel being built and enjoyed watching the workers - not intrusive or noisy to us.
"Very nice and familiar hotel in excellent location"
Everything was perfect - location, contact with staff, cleaniness. Very good facilities, activities, familiar and really nice atmosphere. Any unforseen problems and circumstances in hotel. The highest mark for that price.
It is a typical modern apartment hotel amongst a large complex of similar establishments. The situation is near the top of a very high cliff. It is a long way down to the beach and for us (octogenarians) it required a taxi to return (very frequent and cheap - under 3 euros). We had a spacious basically furnished apartment with a large balcony facing south overlooking the bay and the beach 200 feet below. Our terms were B&B and the breakfast was very good with ample choice. There are numerous beachside restaurants but apart from the hotel there are no other nearby dining opportunities. Wi-fi internet connection was very poor. All the staff
were very friendly and helpful.

The village of Playa de Mogan clings to the cliffs above a curving beach of golden sand imported from the Sahara. The harbor area, with its pedestrian walkways, is knows as the “Venice of the Canaries.” There is a marina here, along with restaurants and souvenir shops. The town of Puerto Rico, to the south, also has a marina, as well as a gently sloping, child-friendly beach.
