Warm welcome on check in. Room was nice and comfortable with gorgeous bathroom. Room had own balcony which had the most stunning views of the beach. I could hear the waves at night which was lovely. Complementary smoothies and fruit served round the lovely pool. Great staff and hotel. Will stay again
Nice hotel with friendly and polite staff! Nice big swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers.
Only downside was the two very small single beds in a standard room which were very close together and unable to be moved. Also the charge of 3 euros a day to use the fridge and 6 euros a time or 20 euros a week to use the gym is pretty ridiculous for something that should be inclusive. Overall though nice hotel would recommend.
Villa Cortes is not very modern boutique style hotel , however it is 5 star and very comfortable. Great location near lots of bars and restaurants but still quiet. I stay away a lot all over the world and I thought this hotel was excellent value for money. Breakfast excellent and staff helpful and friendly.

The hotel was really good in a good location between Costa adeje and playa de las Americas. Could walk to the main part of Costa adeje in around 20 mins which was good. The staff are amazing especially Diaz at the bar, he was always so happy and friendly. The rooms were nice and the maids were really good. Only bad points would be that the pool was always freezing and that I found the food for dinner to be really repetitive and boring. Also at night if you're half board it took a while for drinks at dinner. They also just add up a bill of dinner and bar drinks thoroughout the holiday which got quite annoying as sometimes you didn't even know how much the drink was so had to estimate how much you'd spent. Overall the hotel was really good, with enough sun loungers for everyone and a few activities throughout the day and the entertainment at night was good too.

This was an amazing hotel with all facilities needed. The interior and decor was incredible. The staff were extremely friendly and helped in any way they could (especially gaby and ellios the receptionist staff). Only problem was we did not have a car so needed taxis, however the hotel provides shuttle services.

"Good location, but in my opinion not 4* standard."
We stayed at the Conquistador from 20th-27th June 2015, on arriving we were early, were seen quickly but expected for them to say our room was not ready, which was the case.
We were however given drinks vouchers to use at the pool bar and told to come back at 1.15pm, we came back at 1.15pm to be told our room still was not ready and got sent away with more drinks vouchers which we didn't mind too much as we were on holiday and time to relax. Our room finally became available at 2.20pm so took the slow lift up to the 5th floor, our room (536).
On entering our room I felt it was a little small, we had requested a twin sea view but got a double sea view.
Bathroom had a big chip in the sink surround, shower all week went from freezing to scalding hot and 2 floor tiles 1 broken and 1 loose.
Back of 1 chair broken on balcony as was the airer but replaced same day, rusty lamp (base) on dresser.
Food was excellent with plenty of choice, waiting staff work extremely hard and deserve a big pat on the back.
We used the small pool and went down around 9.30am and always found a sunbed, towel removal in place.
On Wednesday we came back to our room from sunbathing all day to find our room had been left open, not good enough!
Day before we were due to leave we had a problem with our ground transfer, the initial receptionist was most unhelpful with some attitude, but on returning later Bernice and Ana were were extremely helpful.
Piano bar is lovely and relaxing.
Would we return, not sure....
Pocket Guide: Tenerife Playa de las Americas Hotels
Famous for its boisterous nightlife, Playa de las Américas attracts youthful revellers, as well as budget family holidaymakers, from all over northern Europe. By day the young slumber on the black-sand beach while families can enjoy one of the many attractions such as the dolphin show at Octopus Aquapark, or Parque las Aguilas (Eagles Park) to see free-flying birds of prey. A boat trip from neighbouring Los Cristianos to La Gomera is recommended.
