Chose this hotel because of it's location right on the coastal path by the beautiful Playa Dorada beach. It's a short walk by the sea to Playa Blanca old town and in the other direction to the Rubicon Marina with all the lovely bars, restaurants and shops there.
Staff were exceptional in their friendliness, efficiency and hard work.
The hotel is immaculate in all areas and nothing is too much trouble.
The food was delicious - there were 3 of us friends together and we were all impressed.
We really liked this hotel. From the very start you were made to feel very welcome by the reception staff and we could not fault any of the staff during our stay. Lots of activities went on each day but there was no pressure to join in any although our grandson did and he loved it. Children were catered for so well. If we had any complaints it would be lunchtime facilities for half board people were not very well catered for and lack of staff meant a bit of a wait to get served and also air conditioning in our room was rubbish which we did report but did not get fixed and also in the courtesy shower room when we left it was the same. Hotel is in a good position being only about a ten minute walk to the resort centre and about a fifteen minute walk to the lovely harbour. We would definitely go back to this hotel.
Accommodation is lovely and so clean - bar and restaurant are really good and happy hour 4-5.30 (happy hour and a half) is a great recommendation - staff are fantastic - pool lovely - what more could you want?
Lovely family hotel with pretty , well kept gardens and lovely bar / lounge area . Food was lovely , always fresh and plentiful . Would recommend the Italian and steak al la carte , the Chinese was not so nice though . All the staff were polite , happy and caring and the daytime entertainment was great . Was too much , just enough to keep families entertained . Evening entertainment was OK but a little crowded for our taste , however the piano bar was relaxing and had a beautiful balcony to sit out in the evenings .
My only complaint would be reception area was very slow - seems undermanned and took 50 minutes to check in . Always a queue to see a member of staff - definitely needs more receptionists and a seperate concierge service . Overall a wonderful holiday - we all had a lovely relaxing week and our kids aged 15,12 and 10 loved it !
On the seafront, with excellent views of Fuerteventura and Lobos and is just a few kilometers from the beaches of …More
Room was comfortable and great with 2 small kids. Indoor pool as warm as a bath. Fantastic staff - cleaners came most days and made fun animals out of the towels for the kids. There was a complimentary bottle of cava waiting for the adults on arrival too. Marina was a bit classier as an area than some resorts but still had children's menus at all the eateries. Really convenient for excellent papagayo beaches but only with a vehicle. Kitchen basic but sufficient. Thoroughly recommend.
"Nice hotel with good facilities and friendly staff"
Just came back after a lovely week away. Found the hotel clean and staff friendly. Could have done with more activities for children at the resort (i.e. childrens' club). The food was good, but could have done with more variety and flavours. The Wifi coverage needs to be available in all areas of this large resort. Overall,a good experience at the resort.
The original port and fishing village maintain an agreeable low-key buzz with good bars and restaurants, but it is the beaches that make Playa Blanca famous. West of the centre, on past the new and expanding fashionable Marina Rubicón, and a clutch of luxury hotels, lie the island’s finest golden white coves, known collectively as the Papagayo beaches. Three small cafes are the only development in this protected area.
