Chose this hotel because of it's location right on the coastal path by the beautiful Playa Dorada beach. It's a short walk by the sea to Playa Blanca old town and in the other direction to the Rubicon Marina with all the lovely bars, restaurants and shops there.
Jardines del sol was such an amazing hotel, I find it hard to put it in to words, you just have to go and experience it for yourselves! We arrived early on Saturday the 6th and our room was available for early check in - which is always nice after a long morning of traveling! Beautiful room, very modern and comfortable. Staff where amazing, very helpful, pool and facilities where clean at all times of the day. Hotel is about a two minute walk to the beach and then its about a 10/15 minute walk to the main harbour with all the bars and restaraunts, however there are lovely places to eat and drink on the way. Overall a very relaxing ane enjoyable holiday which was just what we needed! Will most certainly be returning!
A lovely hotel with great staff. Pool area was perfect for relaxing! Only negatives were poor wifi and not enough staff for the number of people staying there e.g. Only one person serving at the bars. Rooms were also great and food was nice.
Great location. Great pool area. Rooms large and I paid for a sea/pool view. Seperate bedroom and living room with kitchen arew. Lovely bathroom. We had the hotel breakfasts. You could have either continental or cooked (or both). Cooked was freshly done in front of you. Really good. Staff were really good and helpful.although it says limited maid service, our room was cleaned every day and towels changed. Towels thinner than normal but they rest dried well, unlike some of the softer ones! Pool loungers were luxurious round or rectangular with head cushions. Nice jacuzzi. Pool bar food was really good. Drink prices were normal prices unlike most other hotels! Sangria by the litre or by large glass was lovely.
Reception area is modern and I want my house like that! Light up planters in the well kept grounds were a nice touch. Plenty of games on offer from darts to boules to tennis.
Reception excellent and organised bike hire and airport taxi for us. Very efficient.
we have stayed at 5 star before in the area but will be coming here again next time!
The hotel is large and in a good location. We had booked half board and were surprised that you could not purchase anything with cash in the hotel everything was charged to room, that is apart from the safe which was cash only!! The drinks were limited to those offered to all inclusive guests and again our request for a tinto de verano was met with a "no". Our rom 002 was a good size but I think that compensated for location outside cleaners gathering store cupboard and facing street at ground level. Cleaning was ok but not as particular as I would have expected. The food on offer at breakfast and at night is of a great quality and variety so no complaints there apart from again small limited drink selection which was for all inclusive guests.. Our room was not ready until 3.30 which is very late.. It was very unusual to find a hotel that clearly did not want visitors (no cash) or did not trust their staff I annoy sure of their policy as very often when we are on holiday we like to check out hotels, get a drink and snack etc do you can see if worth visiting, you cannot do that here...
The original port and fishing village maintain an agreeable low-key buzz with good bars and restaurants, but it is the beaches that make Playa Blanca famous. West of the centre, on past the new and expanding fashionable Marina Rubicón, and a clutch of luxury hotels, lie the island’s finest golden white coves, known collectively as the Papagayo beaches. Three small cafes are the only development in this protected area.
