“Pittsburg's Finest”

This is an exceptional hotel with great service. I would recommend this hotel for anyone.

Area recommendations
I would recommend downtown, as close to the river as possible. The professional baseball and football stadiums are downtown as well as the casino. Additionally, there are great restraunts and shopping.
When to go
I would recommend going on a weekend when the Steelers are playing at home. Pittsburg has great fans and are friendly to visitors.

“Excellent customer service”

The bar in the lobby has great cocktails and a jazz band some nights. The room was everything I thought it would be minus the iPod dock that was supposed to be in the room. Would say the walls were kind of thin...

“Great night in Pittsburgh”

“Great accommodations”

Had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont--it's located in a really nice section of the city, within easy walking distance to the stadiums, casino, park, dining and shopping. We had a lovely, comfortable, modern room with a great view of the Pirates stadium. Fantastic bathroom with thick, comfy terry robes. Hotel staff were all very courteous and very helpful to us in finding places around the city. Had a fabulous dinner in their Habitat restaurant-nice waiter with great recommendations. Will definitely stay there again when we go back to Pittsburgh. Highly recommend you check them out for your stay.

“such a wonderful experience!!!”

our time there was short, one night, but it was wonderful. everything from the soft carpet, bed and pillows in the room to the staff to the great jazz band that plays every wednesday thru saturday night was so great! our only complaint was that it was hard to find..... there is no sign. just a small etching on the glass in the front. we passed it 3 times before we saw it!

“One of Pittsburgh's best!”

The Fairmont Pittsburgh, looks unassuming from the street, but the moment you step inside, it is luxury at it's best. When we went to check in, they didn't quite have our room ready, which to us was no big deal. They said they would call me when it was ready. Ok, no problem. A little over an hour later, they called, said we were good to go, but they had taken the liberty to upgrade us to a suite. Ok, I thought, that's nice, not really thinking anything of it. So, we get back to the hotel, check in, and head on up to our floor, the 16th floor. Amazing view, by the way. We start walking down the hall, and can't find the room number on our key. Well, here our room didn't have a number, it had a NAME!! How amazing is that!?! Our suite was called the "Forest Home". WOW! to say the least. It had a beautiful open living room/office, with a nice wrap around, pull out sofa. Nice table to sit and eat at, and a large screen tv. It also had a nice large closet, and full bathroom. Then you walked through a set of double doors, to the Bedroom, with a large King bed, and an AMAZING bathroom with large shower, seperate tub, and seperate toilet room. The Fairmont went well ABOVE what was called for, and I greatly appreciate that, and would HIGHLY recommend them for a stay in Pittsburgh. There hotel, is extremely close to restaurants, as well as within walking distance of PNC Park, Heinz Field, and the casino. Five Stars in my book!

“Best hotel in Pgh”

Stayed in many a hotel but this was, by far, the best in a long time. The room was well-appointed and luxurious with a beautiful view of the Steel City. Could see PNC Park from my room. And the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I wouldn't consider staying elsewhere. And so convenient to the downtown area and right across the bridge from PNC Park and other North Shore spots (Warhol Museum, Heinz Field).
