A recent renovation has been very successful in creating an atmosphere of calm and sophistication. The lighting in the rooms is particularly good and I am pleased to see that they chose more traditional bathroom fittings, in keeping with the historic ambiance of the house. How do the Italian housekeepers maintain such high standards, even in a city centre? The location is central, but quiet.

Located in the heart of this charming small town. 5 minutes walk from all attractions, caffes and restaurants.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The room is amazing, at least 50 sqm with frescos on the walls and ceiling. Well furbished and very comfortable. The building is like a museum (actually it is a kind of gallery and art centre). It was just perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We really enjoyed our short stay here. The owners were friendly and gave us a tour of the hotel when we arrived pointing out the kitchen area that guests could use as well as the roof terrace. The room was large and nicely furnished and decorated.
We were greeted by a young lady who spoke excellent english. The room we had was on the top floor and was very clean. We spent one comfortable night at the hotel and will return next year when the blues festival is on. The staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent value for money.
Hotel Villa Capuggi is a wonderful place to go if you would like a relaxing trip to Italy. The hotel is very clean, and the larger rooms are comfortable (but the classic rooms are very small). The staff is extremely nice and polite, but the hotel does not have many American visitors and even fewer who do not have a car (which we did not). There is public transportation, and we made an adventure out of using it, but it was a bit difficult to get consistent information from the hotel staff regarding the transportation. The pool and restaurant at the hotel are lovely, but bring your own beach towels, as they cost money to "rent" and you can't bring your room towels. The food at the restaurant is delicious, but expensive. If you are adventurous, you can find many great restaurants in downtown Pistoia. Pistoia is a wonderful place to stay if you like being away from other tourists and want to have a genuine Italian experience.
