“Would definately return”

lovely hotel, has excellent views, long uphill walk to Volterra but definately worth it, there are lots of nice places to eat in the town.

Area recommendations
Volterra, and san gimignano.
Getting there
Hire a car is a must as public transport is more or less non exsistant and we found taxis hard to get and unrealiable.

“Fantastic Fonti”

A very pleasant hotel in an excellent central location for Pisa, Sienna & Florence. Car absolutely essential. Excellent restuarant, pleasant public areas; worth paying extra for a room with fantastic views over pool to the south south. Volterra is a lovely 12th century town - only about 500 metres away - but up a 45 degree slope with some steps! The climb is not advisable for heart patients!

Area recommendations
Florence is a beautiful city with the most amazing cathedral and some of the world's finest art galleries and museums. I reccommend the D&K "Eyewitness" guide book for this area.

“A Real Find”

We were so pleased with Park Hotel le Fonti. It was a great location and had a beautiful view with a lovely swimming pool. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and patient. Our room was clean and worked out well as we stayed there for 4 nights. We would highly recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, Rick Steves doesn't have it listed in his book. We intend to let his organization know that we thought the hotel was great!

“Park Hotel LE FONTI - in una Volterra tutta da scoprire”

Il nostro soggiorno al Park Hotel LE FONTI purtroppo è stato breve, di soli due giorni. Tuttavia ciò che risalta subito è la cura per i dettagli, la cordialità, la pulizia e i servizi di eccellente qualità che lo staff dell'hotel mette a disposizione agli ospiti. Il Park Hotel LE FONTI si trova a breve distanza dal centro di Volterra, è quindi possibile viaggiare alla scoperta di edifici storici e musei interamente a piedi (armati di una buona cartina del luogo). Dispone di parcheggi riservati e..di una vista panoramica molto buona!

Area recommendations
Volterra è visitabile nella sua interezza in due giornate piene, procedendo ad un ritmo tranquillo. Senza trascurare la bontà dei piatti tipici toscani e volterrani: delle vere prelibatezze (se consumate nei posti giusti)! Da visitare assolutamente: Cattedrale e Palazzo dei Priori, Duomo, Battistero di San Giovanni, Teatro Romano (visto però dall'alto, lungo la Via Lungo le Mura del Mandorlo), Fortezza Medicea (attualmente carcere), Pinacoteca, Museo Etrusco Guarnacci, Palazzo Viti. Sconsigliamo l'Ecomuseo dell'alabastro e il Museo della Tortura, il primo perchè non è ben strutturato ed il secondo per chi è facilmente impressionabile! La nostra valutazione nel complesso è molto positiva, consigliamo vivamente questa splendida cittadina a coloro che vogliano trascorrere un weekend romantico!
Shopping
Consigliati vivamente i negozi di lavorazione dell'alabastro, pietra tipica della zona. Ci sono oggetti a basso prezzo e ad alto prezzo, tuttavia il valore e la bellezza degli articoli è eccezionale.
Dining
Osteria LA PACE, gestita da Geppo e dai suoi collaboratori. Cucina tipica Volterrana e Fiorentina, cura per il sapore e cordialità a non finire!! Sembra di essere in famiglia! I prezzi sono assolutamente proporzionali alla qualità ed alla soddisfazione.

“LO CONSIGLIO A TUTTTI”

Ottimo hotel, camere spaziose pulite e silenziose, buona colazione con torte fatte in casa! la posizione che permette di raggiungere il centro dopo una passeggiata su salite un tantino ripide ma utili per chi apprezza fin troppo la cucina toscana!

“Le Fonti - Gerne wieder”

Ein schönes Hotel, mitten in der Toskana. Wunderbarer Ausblick über das Land. Guter Service. Lediglich der Sauna/Fitness-Bereich könnte (wie bei so vielen Hotels) besser gepflegt und liebevoller ausgestattet sein. Zufrieden. Gerne wieder.

“atmosfera magica”

eccellente hotel com magnifica piscina e terrazze sulle quali consumare i pasti. Servizio cortese. Unico appunto il rumore di compressore all'esterno della camera, che costringeva a dormire con finestre chiusr in agosto. Ottimo tutto il resto
