“Above average hotel”

Nice modern hotel located about a 3/4 hr walk from Leaning Tower or a bus trip (which we did) involving changing buses. Not sure if the walk back at night would be safe. Breakfast not included. Wifi in lobby area.

Area recommendations

The area at and around the Leaning Tower was the only area we visited and is a must visit if you are in the city.

“Not bad value for money .....but absolutely miles from the station and tower.”

It was fine. But not great. Clean and comfortable. But be prepared to use taxi's and buses to get around.

“An excellent hotel giving good value and very commendable service”

Hotel Reppublica Marinara is a well maintained hotel, with friendly English speaking staff on hand to help you enjoy your stay. It is a popular hotel with flight crews and tourists from other European Countries including Germany, France and Belgium.

Area recommendations

For accommodation, the area where the Hotel Reppublica Marinara is situated is ideal for ease of parking and access to the nearby highway.

Getting around

Bus stop access to frequent services into the city located next to the hotel.

Must see

The nearby walled city of Lucca is only 30 minutes away from Pisa by train and is well worth visiting for a day out, as there's so much to see.

“Good hotel, just a bit of a walk to centre”

This is a good quality hotel, with good staff and good rooms. Lots of parking space and easily accessible, all at a good price. Only down sides are its aA little far from the historic centre to walk with kids, and not especially attractive area itself, but comes highly recommended.

“go elsewhere”

The hotel was clean but beginning to show wear. There is no way this is a four-star hotel. I had promised the kids a bit of luxury (we are a two star family, three at most) this was a disappointment. The TV didn't work and my husband had to plug in the cable. When we called about movies on demand, they were rude. False advertising, far from it all, not walkable with children. No restaurants other than in the hotel ,and it was very expensive. A cab ride is necessary and not inexpensive.

Go downtown nearer to the train or the tower.

“Excellent value for money”

Great value for money and the restaraunt was fantastic and food was of a very high standard. Best steak i have ever had. Staff very helpful and speak good english. Only issue we had was dodgy a/c sometimes. Would hapily go back

“First class service from staff!”

Had a fab time in Pisa, but the staff at the hotel were amazing and so helpful, highly recommend anyone to stay there, very central to walk to places as well.

“Very nice hotel with free wi-fi”

Short walk to the downtown area but best to take a bus to get to the tower/church. Very nice hotel with helpful staff. The taxi to the airport was under 10 euros.

“very impressed again”

I have stayed at this hotel on 2 previous occasions on business and found it to be perfectly suitable for my use. I stayed on this occasion for a short holiday break with my wife and once again found the hotel covered my requirements perfectly.Clean room,good food and very attentive staff.The cost also gives very good value for money.

Area recommendations

Pisa is nice with lots of nice areas. Florence is only 1 hr away and is very special.
