“Excellent”

A lovely friendly hotel in an excellent location for rail travellers and a pleasant walk to Tower and Duomo. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Great hotel, perfect location”

We had a great stay at this hotel, we were met at the airport by their free shuttle service, the staff on reception were very helpful and provided a map of Pisa and gave us directions to find the Tower as well as recommendation of where to eat. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was great.

When we arrived at the airport we called the hotel and they sent a van to pick us up very promptly - a much appreciated service. The staff were very helpful and informative both upon arrival and when we had any questions about the local area. It is quite a trek to the leaning tower but not too much of one - about 20 minute walk. About 10 mins walk to the train station which is handy if you are using the hotel as a base to visit other areas (which we did) (hotel shuttle can be used for the train station also). Breakfast was wonderful - a good selection of continental together with scrambled eggs and bacon. Room was spotlessly clean. Not huge but fine for us and the shower was very good to use. I would most certainly stay here again!

“Effortless good service”

The Hotel Bologna is simply excellent, the staff make a difficult job look easy and everything is handled calmly and efficiently. Check-in took seconds, the room was immaculate and very well appointed, any questions we had were handled very well and in good english, breakfast is varried and generous, checkout no problem, free >10 minute shuttle to the airport. Outstanding. One very minor niggle; the room we had faced only into a light-well with no view of the sky or sense of fresh-air, if you cope well with permanent air-con this will be no problem. However, if our stay had been for more than one night i would have requested a different room. It may be wise to check this aspect of your room when booking. Overall, i would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to friends.

“Hotel Bologna, Pisa - great hotel to visit the city”

Hotel Bologna, Pisa, proved to be great value and an easy walk to the city center. A relatively small hotel with first-rate amenities - and very nicely furnished moderate sized rooms with comfortable beds. Decor was first-rate, and the bathroom was well appointed. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the hotel was a short walk to the most important city site - particularly the leaning tower. A first-rate breakfast was included within the price within a nicely appointed dining room. A free shuttle was available to the airport. In synopsis, a delightful hotel that was great value for money in an extremely pleasing city that has much to offer.

“Great Value for money and so Central!”

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were so friendly and helpful, it was a pleasure to stay there and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely and lots of choice. The shuttle to the airport and back as well as to the train station and back was certainly and added bonus and made our stay easier. Great place!

“Wonderful”

We had a 4 day stay in Hotel Bologna, as it was a few minutes walk from the train station we had a day in Florence and a day in Lucca. The staff in the hotel were all polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb and the shuttle service to and from the airport was a bonus as was the free water in the room and reception. excellent location, everything within walking distance and surrounded by restaurants. We were recommended to Alle Bandierine Spaghetteria and we were not dissapointed it is a short walk ( 6 mins ) over the river and well worth it. If we are ever in Pisa again this is the hotel we would return to.

“Highly recommended”

In addtion to the great rate that I got on Expedia, the free (and quite decent) breakfast and complementary transportation to Pisa airport made my stay an especially good value. The location is a bit further from the main attractions than some of the other hotels I looked at but this also means it's a bit removed from the tourist-trap restaurants and vendors that plague the area around the leaning tower. In any event, it's a nice 15-20 minute walk to the tower/Duomo area and a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. My room was reasonably large, quiet and the wifi was quite reliable. The only dowsnide was a very small stall shower, but this is some that anyone visiting Italy just has to get used to, even at far more expensive hotels.

“It worked”

While the location was convenient to the train station and a short walk to the tower we were otherwise disappointed. We stayed on arrival to Pisa and again on departure. A beautiful building that needs a facelift. I felt like because we booked through Expedia we were given the older and poorly maintained rooms. The beds were comfortable and the shuttle service very convenient. The staff at the check in desk were effecient and kind. Happy hour was fruit, cheese and "salsa". Wine was at your expense.
