Lunasia - A dinner destination (closed Mondays) for diners from throughout the region, this oval, glass-walled fine-dining restaurant-lounge features the avant-garde and contemporary cuisine of chef Luca Landi, who also creates menus for Le Ginestre restaurant. Landi studied with world-renowned French chef Alain Ducasse, and his avant-garde creations are presented in tasting menus and include surprises like Anchovy Ice Cream with Octopus, Foie Gras Tempura, and Blood-Orange Juice with Vermouth Foam. Landi's à la carte menu offers selections like Crisp Goat and Ricotta Cannelloni, Braised Frog Legs with Rice Gnocchi, and Lamb Leg in Salt Crust.

Le Ginestre - Fine-dining restaurant with tall windows offering pine-forest views, convex white ceilings, multi-coloured marble floor, white damask linens, and blue upholstered chairs. Lunch and dinner menus offer contemporary versions of Tuscan dishes. Samples include Galantine of Guinea Fowl, Rabbit and Onion Ravioli, Suckling-Pig Shank, and Beef in Red Wine.

Barbecue Restaurant - Casual outdoor restaurant-bar adjacent to the pool. Open early evening to late night from late May to late September for grilled foods. Live entertainment twice weekly.

“Excellent short stay at special offer, too isolated for longer, car almost a necessity”

Very good choice for a few days' rest,not so good without a car; it is isolated, a bus to Pisa stops about 350m from hotel entrance once an hour. Hard on arrival in the dark, with luggage, no indication how far ahead the entrance is; I am disabled. and was given wrong information before traveling. There was no answer at the reception when I tried to phone from the bus stop; there often was no answer at reception while at the hotel.They tried to be helpful but the only language they spoke apart from Italian was inadequate English. [I offered 4 languages] The hotel consists of several low buildings set in a park of pine and palm trees: bedrooms with balconies - good views, two restaurants, wellness center with heated swimming pool,hydrotherapy,fitness & sauna plus 2 open air swimming pools - all lovely- a luxury version of club med?- . Staff very helpful and friendly,food very good {expensive] breakfast outstanding. At special offer a perfect few days' rest. if possible with a car.

“Green Park if you only look "inward".”

Although the pool and green park courtyard is nice, the mondern architecture feels a little "institutional" The ambiance in the main dining room is a little like an "italian Catskills". Not what the we had envisioned from the name. The location in Tirrenia on a beach road is isolated from the town and a car in necessary. The associated ocean "beach club" is very nice and a change from the hotel.

“Nice hotel, expensive food”

Hotel and facilities are very nice, especially the swimming pools. However, food and drink is over-priced at hotel and there is only one evening restaurant within walking distance (La Terazza - 15-20 min walk - very good and reasonably priced, well worth a visit). Taxis have to come from Pisa so very expensive, so only way to get to Tirrenia centre is by car or bus.

La Terazza pizzeria/restaurant is a 15-20 min walk from hotel - great food and wine, and very reasonably priced (turn right out of hotel towards Tirrenia).

“A great Park”

It's a huge hotel with plenty of space. The rooms are cool. They offer the size of a suite. It's near to the beach. You just have to cross the main street and they have a deal with a private beach. The food there was great and we enjoyed the time very much.

“Gute Anbindung an Pisa und Livorno”

Wir haben hier nun schon 4x mal übernachtet - benutzen das Hotel immer als Anlaufstelle für die Fähre in Livorno - dafür ideal Gute Erreichbarkeit - tolles Hotel - Umgebung wird sehr viel gebaut + auch Flughafen Pisa Einflugschneise.. Für Kurz Übernachtungen sowie auch Businesstrips sehr gut geeignet - tolles aber nicht gerade günstiges Restaurant im Hotel. Für einen mehrwöchigen Urlaub nicht zu empfehlen. Da in der Umgebung gerade viel gebaut wird und zum STand man über eine STrasse muss.

“spa très agréable. voiture nécessaire. chambres un peu sonores et déco froide”

spa très agréable, vaste piscine intérieure bien chauffée. décoration des chambres et du restaurant un peu froide. Chambres pas très bien insonorisées. voiture nécessaire car rien à proximité sauf la mer (200 m.) Bien placé pour visiter la toscane : voie rapide Livourne Florence à 3 minutes.

“Durchaus empfehlenswertes Hotel in der Nähe von Pisa”

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und nutzten das Hotel, um einen Abstecher in die Toskana zu machen. Das Hotel bietet einen sehr guten Komfort, alle Gebäude liegen in einer Parkanlage. Den Kindern hat der riesige Pool am Besten gefallen. Das Hotel liegt am Rande eines alten Kasernengeländes, wodurch die Umgebung unter den noch nicht renovierten Gebäuden leidet. Ferner ziehen ständig Flugzeuge beim Landeanflug zum Flughafen Pisa über das Hotel. Der Strand ist in ca. 300 m zu Fuß erreichbar und wie fast überall in Italien privatisiert. Einen Rabatt zur Nutzung der Liegen bekommt man im Hotel an der Rezeption. In Summe ein sehr schönes Hotel, das etwas unter der Umgebung leidet.

Hotel war nicht leicht zu finden, da die Straße nicht im Navigationssystem aufgeführt war. Ein kurzer Anruf an der Rezeption führte uns dann erfolgreich zur Unterkunft

“kingrobert”

Resort molto bello, ampio, personale gentile e disponibile. Colazione ottima. Cena ottima presso ristorante Lunasia per provare cose nuove ed insolite ma proposte con grande cura e raffinatezza.

“Très bon hôtel à recommander”

Considérer comme hôtel luxueux. Contrairement à il y a deux ans en arrière où on nous proposait un menu le soir, il est dommage que cette fois nous ayons une carte et sur une semaine, nous avions fait le tour des repas proposé.

Ne réserver cet endroit sans véhicule si le but est de faire un séjour de bien-être et de repos étant donné qu'il est décentré.
