Cool with a view over Tuscany olive groves

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Privacy, peace, quiet, cool in summer. The use of a dish washer and washing machine was welcome. Perfect size for us 1 double and 1 twin bedroom
Cons: Just would have liked larger towels with a bit of fabric softener, no other gripes
Location: See above
The house is like a gem once you have found it and braved the bumpy track. It is part of the charming owners house but feels very private once you are there with a stunning view. It is cool in the summer which is a blessing after the heat of Florence. The owner advised us to take the train into Florence from Figline which worked well. We also enjoyed a trip in the car to Sienna; which was an hour through Chianti country and it was only 2 hours to visit Assisi, both unexpected bonuses of being south of Florence. I missed a pool, we tried the nearest camp site which has 5 pools all very busy and the day rate is high. The house is about 20 minutes in all to get to the shops in Figline so there is some inconvenience - you need to plan your day - but for me totally worth it for cool, peace and lovely owners.

So close to the leaning tower!

Posted 15-Aug-2014
You could HEAR EVERYTHING from other rooms which was unpleasant to say the least. Worst night sleep. Beds were 'pretend' in the sense that they were camp beds disguised by a bed frame. Electrics went at night. Great location, cheap but wouldn't stay again although the it wasn't the hotels fault that another couple let us up all night but without 24 hour staff there's not a lot you can do!

Charming rustic and close to the Tower

Posted 10-Aug-2014
25 minute walk from train station which was a nice way too see Pisa. Hotel is very charming and rustic with some lovely features. Hotel staff very friendly and informative Hotel 3 minute walk from Leaning Tower Was quite noisy at times as, although the road the hotel sits on seems away from the roads, it's actually a go through lane so motorbikes and horse carts aplenty. Really nice stay : )

very good hotel, excellent location

It was a very pleasant stay. Very good hotel, good aircon and bed. The shower was a bit less than average. The front desk staff is quite good, friendly and helpful but they struggle a bit with english. I would stay here again. The hotel is about a 2 min walk away from the leaning tower of pisa and near by restaurants. about a 15 min walk to the train station.

Great Location, Great Value

Posted 13-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel will fit a certain type of traveler well. The rooms were inexpensive and the location was about as central as you could hope for. [400 yards from the torre pendente and also the main shopping drag]What you get in location and thrifty rooms you pay back in room comfort. its a spare experience. The bathroom too tight, the rooms fairly small, the TV a small 14" model, but.. hey. you get what you pay for and i think I got exactly what i paid for. Hence the varied rating. Overall a very good value for what you get.

the place is quite simple and basic but was clean and linen changed regularly. rooms were very clean and comfortable. Was quite convenient for my business as it was within 5 minutes walk and also close to the tower.

Fine For a Short Stay

Posted 01-Jun-2014
We arrived after a late flight and were initially allocated a twin room, even though we had requested a double on booking; this was changed, although somewhat reluctantly, when we pointed this out. It is located a short walk away from the Tower and Duomo in a quiet street. It is in an attractive old building and could benefit from some updating of facilities, but if you are staying for a night or two to see the city it is perfectly adequate and the price charged is fair.

Through necessity could stay only one night in a single room. Room very clean with a good bathroom attached. Good location for the sights. Very quiet. Friendly and efficient staff. Easy access. Local buses a few minuest walk. Would certainly revisit
