“Nice hotel for family with young children”

Staff were really Freindly, having a pool with a slide kept my son entertained for hours. Had a great time could not have picked a hotel that suited us better.

“Not impressed”

Rooms far too small to accommodate 3rd person. Eating in expensive. Phone calls home exorbitant - never ever paid so much for hotel use of phone. Very little to do in area.

“Hard to fault.”

Diligent staff, great facilities and a beautiful building...... its difficult to fault the Marriott at Surin Beach. Staff were genuinely helpful, professional and very friendly. The Marriott is a modern, western style resort hotel, but classy in an unpretentious way. Moderately expensive by Phuket terms but not exorbinant. Surin is a small, upmarket beach.... although the hotel was surprisingly busy with families. Great place.

“A Great Sanctuary for Families”

We loved this hotel. We took both sets of our parents (in their 70s) and our 2 boys (7 and 9). We all loved it. The pool and slides and kids' room were great for the kids (with the much appreciated playstation). The restaurant and bar were great for our parents and kids (who only like western food) and also for us (who love asian food) - we loved the atmosphere. The beach was lovely and only a short walk - stacks of restaurants and massage booths along the ocean front. The rooms were very clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful - we just couldn't fault it. They even brought a cake and candle to my mum's room as it was her 75th bday the day we arrived - sensational. Possibly the only thing we would suggest is ask for a room away from the dining area if you don't like noise - it didn't bother us too much but you could hear people talking softly until midnight and then at 6am there was the clanging of cutlery. We ate some breakfasts down the road at the Surin Bay Inn (nice American and English breakfasts at ~$7) - don't go there for dinner tho. Taxi fares to Patong were about AU$20 o/w and airport about $20-25 o/w. We booked all our tours thru the hotel - loved the snorkling tour with Royal Andaman. Fantasea was good for the kids (if on a budget skip the dinner and don't go gold seat). Being away from Patong was fabulous - this was such a sanctuary. We can't wait to go back.

“Fantastic Hotel”

We had a beautiful family holiday staying at the Courtyard Marriott Surin Beach- we basically had the place to ourselves as it was the low season, but we had a week of hot sunny weather. The kids loved the pools and the waterslides, the beach was nice although you couldn't swim at this time of year. Plenty of nice cheap eats close by and not too far away from the busy Patong and Phuket city areas. Very nice clean modern rooms and decor. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast a little pricey, so we ate down the road at a local eatery that provided an American breakfast cheap! Would stay there again.

“Hôtel Courtyard by Marriot à Surin Beach, Phuket”

Chambre petite bien entretenue par contre le ménage laisse à désirer dans la salle d'eau minuscule: les coins et joints sont très encrassés et ça ne date pas d'hier. Ceci ne correpond pas au standing attendu de cet hôtel. Excellent pdj salé-sucré varié, jus de fruits frais. Téléphone depuis la chambre excessivement cher, à éviter absolument. Hôtel et quartier calmes. Personnel souriant et attentionné à toute heure. Route et petit parc à traverser pour rejoindre la plage. Transats payants. Nombreux restaurants à proximité ainsi que bureau de change et comptoir de tourisme pour les excursions. Très bon accueil partout, Pas d'animation nocturne.
