“Location, location”

The location of this hotel is it's strongest point, Reception area was nice and the staff were very helpful. My room had a dripping water pipe in the bathroom during my entire stay (8 days) so general maintenace is not good.

“Truely Western Conveniences”

Really enjoyed everything about this hotel. The location was just a short walk to one of the nicest beaches in Phuket. The regular drivers at the taxi stand outside were reasonable. The three outdoor swimming pools were ideal for sunset swims. Even the minor plumbing problem in my bathroom was handled immediately.

Getting there

Consider flying directly to the wonderful international airport in Phuket. It truely is convenient depending on the airline you choose to get to Thailand.

“Good location, okay hotel”

Location is great for walking access to Karon beach, places to eat/shop/massage etc. Hotel grounds were very nice. Rooms were very clean. Bed was very uncomfortable by western standards. Eventually we complained and they brought an additional pad to make it more comfortable. Room also had a bit of a funny smell. Perhaps due to the age of the place. The breakfast wasn't included in the hotel room rate. So it cost an additional 535 Bhat per day for two people to have access to the morning buffet. I found out that only 3 of the 180 booked rooms while we stayed there didn't include the breakfast buffet in the room price - Expedia rates don't include it at this hotel which was a little disappointing. To a westerner this hotel seems like a great deal at less than seventy or eighty dollars per night but what you will find is you can find many rooms for fifteen to twenty dollars a night all over the same area when you arrive.

Area recommendations

Karon or upgrade to Kata beach areas. Kata beach neighborhood is cleaner than Karon beach.

“Good Family Hotel”

Close to everything and yet away form the noise of the night life

3 pools, plus kiddy pool. Play room for kids. Nice little store in hotel. Also Medical office next to hotel, was great when wife got sick.

“hotel tranquille à phuket”

petit hotel sympa,avec 3 piscines qui ne sont pas envahient par le monde, car il y a la plage à 100 metre, mai cool pour faire un petit plongeon relax,et pas trop loin des des restaurants et autre activitées commerciales.

“HOTEL Best Western Phuket”

Hotel ottimo, da consigliare a chiunque voglia avere la pulzia, la comodità delle camere ai massimi livelli e uno straordinario rapporto qualità/prezzo. Reception sempre molto disponibile e attenta ai problemi del cliente (a/c difettosa). L'hotel è posizionato a 5 minuti a piedi dalla bellissima spiaggia di Karon beach, servizio di lavanderia a pagamento interno oppure esterno, proprio sotto l'hotel. A 20 metri c'è il supermercato della catena americana 7 eleven con prezzi bassissimi per rifornirsi per pranzi / cene / colazioni / snack / bevande e quant altro. 3 pc interni a pagamento (un pò cari 160 baht, 4 euro, 1 ora) e wi-fi. Sempre sotto l'hotel,a 50m, c'è un ottimo ristorante di pesce con vista laghetto, 12 euro a testa e si mangia ottimamente, il ristorante dell'hotel non è stato mai provato. Piscine belle e molto attrezzate ma forse un pò piccoline, utilizzate però una volta sola.

Per chi vuole godersi la pace e il bel mare Thailandese consiglio di rimanere da Karon in giù sulla costa occidentale..Naj Harn è la spiaggia più bella ke abbiamo visto a Phuket..meritano poi sicuramente una gita l'isola di Phang nga di James Bond e le PhiPhi Island con Maya Bay dal film the Beach con Di Caprio...per godersele a pieno però bisognerebbe pernotarrci almeno 2 notti con escursioni subacquee, ciaooooooooooooo

Taxi trattando..dall'aereoporto a karon beach il prezzo giusto è 550/600 baht!

What to pack

Costumi, shorts e t-shirt..niente jenas lunghi, felpe o tute..con quel caldo sarebbero del tutto inutili!Anche maschera e tubo sono ben accetti...
