Enjoyed our stay. We had a room with swim up access which was fun. Pool area generally was good, big enough for the numbers of people without being crowded & deep enough for a decent swim. Breakfast buffet was great, wide variety of choices & good coffee. Hotel is a bit tired in places & while not dirty by any means it wasn’t cleaned as well as others we stayed in on this trip. This was a good base for our visit to Kata, the immediate area was quiet yet it was only a 10 min walk to all the beach side restaurants & bars.

If you want a hotel that is very clean, very friendly, has excellent staff, gives excellent service, a breakfast that suits all and a free hourly transfer to and from Kata beach (5 to 10 minutes level walk away), this is the hotel for you. It is also one of the hotels that organised trips pick you up from for free. (Our current hotel tours charge 2000tbh to pick you up.) Truthfully, the rooms and reception are a little tired, but within a very short time we saw past that, because everything else was so good. We've stayed in three hotels this trip, one was a 5*, the Alpina was the best of them all.

Expected more given the cost
Stayed for 6 nights over xmas 2019. Were given a 'free upgrade' upon arrival but were left feeling very underwhelmed at the condition of the room. Whilst clean, it was extremley outdated, tired and did not reflect the photos from Hotels.com or the price we had paid. In fairness to the hotel, they were very quick to apologise and resolve this, providing us with a suite which felt more in line with our booking costs. The restaurants at the hotel were uninspiring and despite the busy time of year were very quiet, as such didnt each in any of them. Breakfast was included with our stay and was satisfactory. Pool area was great for families, however, there were a few points such as loose tiles or broken slats which had the potential to cause accidents and should be rectified for future guests. After walking around the Kata bay, this hotel does appear to be one of the best on offer, particularly for families. The shuttle bus is both helpful and at hourly intervals throughout the day down to the beach front, however, this is a walkable distance for those wishing to. All in all, happy with our stay but may opt to look for a different bay in Phuket if we are to return.

the room was not properly cleaned each day condition of bathroom not acceptable. sometimes received clean cups other one clean one dirty, bathroom was not cleaned. beds not properly madeup. floor not always swept. sometime got two new bottles of water but not consistently. sometimes got pool towels new sometimes not. hotel did not appear to be upkept like black on walls umbrellas some broken around pool.

Good location, but outdated, bad wifi, and noises
The second hotel on our honeymoon trip was to the Alpina Phuket near Kata Beach. It was in a good location (10 min from Kata Beach), and easy to move around using tuk tuks and taxis. However, the actual room was outdated, and looked dark due to the dark furniture, drapes, and dustiness. Also, the wifi was spotty throughout the room. However, the A/C was strong. I would probably not stay again, since we were looking for a place to relax and rest from the day's activities. One great aspect: the breakfast food was really good! And the staff, both at the front desk, as well as at breakfast, were really nice, helpful, and always smiling.

Ok but would not return
Good location as close to nearby restaurants and night markets etc. the reception staff definitely need some lessons in customer service. They should ask the room service/cleaning staff to teach them as those guys were fantastic. Room was very nice but we booked pool access but had it at the other end of the hotel so the WiFi was awful. Had to sit in the lobby to get any signal. Overall, was ok. Probably wouldn’t book again. Also, the pool access was a bit of a let down as they obviously don’t clean that part as well. There was constantly debri on top of the water and looked a bit off putting.

Nice Hotel but needs updating/TLC
My partner and I stayed at the resort for 6 nights. The staff were very friendly and the service was also very good with no issues. I would say the hotel is nice however, my partner and I both agreed it needs a little bit of TLC and updating. Our room had damp on the walls which you could smell as soon as you entered and the furniture was very warn. There was also a huge chunk of wall missing form the pillar next to our balcony (we stayed in one of the swim up rooms). We went at the end of Sep/beginning of Oct which meant the hotel and surrounding area was very quiet, but this did mean we had plenty of room when swimming and relaxing. Overall we were very happy with our stay but would probably try and different location next time.

Not a 4* hotel
Don’t expect a 4* property, it’s nice but not the standard I was expecting after travelling for 3 months in various countries. The WiFi didn’t work at all during my stay. The room is old and needs work doing to it, the bathroom looked filthy but it was just limescale No breakfast, free breakfast in the 3* I booked afterwards

Could be a wonderful.hotel. just a bit tired on the outside and in the rooms . Quite a lot of mould in the bathroomand shower heads not at all clean . Staff were lovely and breakfast was good value.

Impeccable Service
The service was amazing, including the recovery service. The hotel made a mistake and we had no rooms for the first night. They apologised and arranged for us to stay at their (newer but more inaccessible) sister hotel. Two reception staff accompanied us through the checkin process all the way to our new room to make sure that we are well settled in. They also offered us one free dinner at their restaurant, one free transfer, and two in-house meals at 20% off as an apology. The only qualms I have is that the 4.5* rating does not match the conditions of facilities/rooms on the ground (e.g. parts of the wallpaper were coming out, weak airc onditioning, weak wifi in the rooms). The hotel would be better (we had a comparison with sister hotel on night one) if there have been an upgrade. Similar to others' reviews on the conditions of the hotel, I hope the investors/management would do some upgrading so that their 5* service staff could deserve the 5* hotel that they are an ambassador of.

What a beautiful resort! The rooms was amazing. I love how the room was set up. The view from our room was absolutely gorgeous! I enjoyed being on the balcony. Their breakfast was amazing! They served so much food and they were all good food! I went to the spa on the resort and again... amazing. We were very close to the Kata Beach but far away from the city so transportation to the city was expensive but we were here to relax and enjoy the beach. What i didnt like is the wifi... it barely worked for me. It kept going on and off. All the past hotel/hostel ive been i had no problem with the wifi but at this beautiful resort, the wifi wasnt the greatest. I would come back to this resort and recommend this place to my friends/family but i would warned them about the wifi.

Second time here. Booked the room with a jacuzzi that comes with a free mini bar refil each day but they tried to charge us for drinks even tho they were free. Also tried to charge us 40 baht for ice. Ridiculous. It’s a great place and id go back but some of the staff can be rude and try squeeze every dollar out of you.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The room was spacious and the balcony was large. The bathroom had a big walk in shower and double sinks, which was also nice. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast, but didn’t love the restaurant food. The beach is an easy 10 minute walk, but there is also a shuttle that runs every hour. We got everything we were expecting with this hotel for the price we paid. We would stay here again.

Stayed for 3 nights. Very nice resort. Clean rooms and friendly staff. We booked excursions through the resort and give a thumbs up to Bea.Pool closes at 7pm which is to early. Breakfast buffet I found disappointing for what you pay. Did like Happy Hour at the poolside. Discounted drinks and bartenders were very entertaining.

Get away!
Great service and friendly people. Just be aware if you don’t speak Russian phucket will be a shockingly lonely place. And loud at night. But this hotel has high up rooms far from the loud bustle of the city so it was nice.

The resort overall was nice, good pool and friendly staff. However their WiFi was unreliable and barely worked, the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. The housekeeping was very stingy on towels and often did not replace dirty towels.

Great hotel.
Very friendly staff, spacious rooms and loved the pool access room. Pool area is great. Free hotel shuttle to kata beach but you can walk too . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for someone looking for budget friendly hotel. No complaints.

PROS: -Awesome, large, clean pool -Friendly, welcoming staff -Shuttle to the beach -Short walking distance to Kata Beach CONS: -Rooms need updating -Bathroom was a bit dirty -Airport shuttle was unsatisfactory This place has a nice location and the staff is great! Resort is within a 15 minute walk of Kata beach. My biggest issue, however, was with the airport shuttle that we pre-booked through the hotel (for a total of 2000 baht). On the drive from the airport to the hotel, the driver stopped THREE different times. One stop was to run a personal errand, one was to get gas, and one of the stops was at a tourism office where we were being pressured into buying tours/outings. The airport shuttle made me unhappy with my experience before even getting to the hotel. If i pay a lot of money for a shuttle, I expect them to just drive straight to the hotel.
