“IF YOU LIKE YOUR PRIVACY BOOK IT”

LOCATION IS PERFECT IF YOU LIKE YOUR PRIVACY. OWN BEACH , PLENTY OF SWIMMING POOLS TO PICK FROM, GREAT RESTAURANTS OR IF YOU WISH YOU CAN HIRE A BIKE GO INTO TOWN AND ENJOY OTHER RESTAURANTS. THE ONLY THING MISSING IN THIS HOTEL WAS A MORE HAPPY ATMOSPHERE ,SOME NICE MUSIC OR EVEN MAKING A CLUB WOULD BE NICE. OTHERWISE ITS A GREAT HOTEL WE LOVED THE LOCATION OUR BEACH WAS SO CLEAN GREAT TO SWIM IN AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

“Nice Resort”

Nice stay we I booked 4 nights: Firstable the hotel has two different parts we were placed in Bhuri wing we realized that this side had way better amenities as they are newer and more modern, more private, less kids and less people, than the main side of the hotel. Staff at front desk is kind and professional. Our room building looked dated and it was smelly most of the time. When we came into the room it was a dissapointment since it looks that they were stuck in remodelation and left it half way some parts look old and some parts look new. Bed was super confortable! Nice shower. Room lacks maintenance. Room lacked cleaness, floor was dirty when we came in and daily maid service is not good they do not do a good job cleaning there was many dusty parts, floor and sink were never well cleaned thoughout our stay. Hair dryer did not wok. Beach towels are very old all washed out but clean. Room is not so bad if you take into consideration price it is bareable, specially if you are on a budget. Grounds are beautiful, very well kept, modern, spotless clean, we loved the pool area in front of the beach, wonderful beautiful beach you can swim with some precaution, excellent bar and restaurants, excellent strong drinks,staff is friendly. Prices for food, drinks and excursions are great!!! All these make up for the not so nice room, as we spent most of our time outside. Kata Beach is nice. If you are on a budget I would definitely recommend this resort.

Must go to PHI PHI ISLANDS the hotel offers good tours at good prices. don't miss this it is a great experience and one of the most beautiful places we have ever been too.

Outdoors or beach

I do not recommend staying in Patong we were there one night and were glad did not stay there it is super noisy, many vendors trying to sell you everything!!! Dirty streets, not a nice place at all. We all four people disliked it. On the other hand Kata is great! Good vibe nice restaurants, not very crowded, smaller and more intimate.

“Can't recommend enough”

When you book a place online, there is always the trepidation of hoping that you have chosen well, but never knowing until you get there... The only complaint that I could possibly come up with is that there wan't foot stools on the balcony... We had exactly what we wanted, amazing relaxing location, fantastic resort and beautiful beach. Thank you Katathani for a wonderful holiday and we look forward to returning!

“We actualy got upgraded to Katathani Shore - very impressed”

The Katathani shore has great ocean views and private swimming pools per each room. It was spacious, clean and the best room I ever could imagine. Our Villa didnt share any walls so we had complete privacy. Its far away from Patong so if you want a quiet vacation that was the place. The staff was friendly and helpfull. It wasnt that expensive for things. Maybe it was because its not a major season but things like mini bar was not overpriced and even the gift shop was not bad. We actualy paid more for a scented bar of soap outside the hotel. I will go again someday.

“Would go there again”

We arrived late at night and were given a room in the old part of the hotel. The room was nit very clean. We were upgraded to a Junior suite in the Ocean wing the next day. Excellent service and attention to customers. Miss Suranya was outstanding in her assistance and help. We thank the entire staff. Would love to go there again. Hermann

“Great beach and location, the older wing is in need of a re-furb”

We had a lovely stay here, there are several pools to choose from and the beach is very scenic and the waves make for a refreshing swim. There are also some good restaurants on the street behind the hotel which we found offered much better value for dinner. Kata is also a few mins away by tuk tuk. We stayed in the older wing and our room was very dated; I understand the rooms in the other wing have been re-fursbished more recently.

“We are already booked for next year”

We love the Katathani, the service is exceptional, the staff are always friendly and the little extra touches like the animals made out of bath towels left on your bed and the fresh fruit are fantastic. This was our second trip there and this time we stayed for 14 nights. La Scala the italian restaraunt is a high light the food is incredible and the service is first class it is one of our most favourite restaraunts in the world. The sea is always a bit rough there at this tme of year but it is safe to just paddle into, the pools though more than make up for it. We stayed in the Anderman wing which was close to the breakfast restaraunt and the main pools. If you have a chance and you enjoy a bit of peace and quite and being away from the hussle and bussle of Patong this is the place for you, we have adaopted it as our second home and we can't wait to get back.

“I would return to this hotel anytime. Everything about it was fantastic. Highly recommended .”

This was our first trip to Thailand and we went for relaxation so chose to stay out of Phuket Town and Patong, at Kata Noi. The Katathani Resort was the perfect choice, it is 20-30 minutes from Patong by taxi which, you can travel to very cheaply. There was a range of nationalities mostly families and couples not really singles at the resort. we stayed in a Junior Suite overlooking the grounds and the ocean.I didn't find the shopping was what I had expected, there was alot of shops with all exactly the same things such as sarongs, t shirts and souveniers. We did have a couple of suits made to measure which were made beautifully at around a half to one third of what they cost in Australia.We travelled in June which is off season, it was humid but well worth missing the crowds of peak season, it was sunny everyday and the resort pools were only a few steps away, with the beach only a few more.We chose to include a buffet breakfast daily after which we didn't need to eat until dinner, it was worth the money. We ate at a few local restaurants, the food was very good and cheap. Shop owners are very keen to get your business so be prepared to be asked many many times if you want a taxi, suit, massage etc. Bartering is the way of Thaliand in most shops, but some do have prices posted.Overall the Katathani Resort was fantastic the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean & surrounds. Most of the staff speak English & always try to do anything to make your stay worry free.
