“Nice downtown motel”
The staff at the hotel were all very kind & professional. The pool & hot tub was excellent. I did experience a problem in the exercise room--kept poping circuit breaker when running the treadmill. Also, the phones in the room did not work, but we just used our cell phones instead.
“Great Stay!”
The staff were very hospitable and warm. The rooms were nice with extra pillows provided. Plenty of bottled water offered for free. Pool beautiful and nice. Roof top has a great view of the city. Great suggestions for restaurants given by the staff.
“When in Phoenix, would stay again. Staff very helpful.”
Good hotel, organic restaurant. Staff very helpful.
“early November trip”
I liked the vibe of the hotel. Had stayed there long ago when it was a Radisson. It is now much better.
“Cant wait to go back, as a matter of fact just rebooked.”
I fear that recommending this hotel will cause their rates to go up. Its a nice place would prefer to keep it quiet. But alas, I have to admit it - its a fine place to stay. I live in the valley. You won't believe this place. Its a great stay-cation.
“Unique Boutique”
If you demand five-star luxury, you won't find it here, but this boutique hotel, which appears to be a remodeled four floor motor motel, actually does have charm, and the room was spacious and the beds and pillows comfortable. The on-site Mexican food restaurant was excellent and highly rated in Phoenix. The nightly service charge is high, but includes free wireless, free phone, including long distance, and all the after hours snacks and water you want. For a short three night stay, I found the Clarendon charming in its own way.
“An improving boutique”
This was our third stay at the Clarendon. The 1st was purely for location convenience and we weren't that impressed with the state of the facilities, but did like the staff and saw that they were making significant renovations. Our subsequent two stays 4 and 5 weeks later confirmed our favorable impressions.
“Not your boring, cookie cutter hotel”
As one who travels alot I can tell you that after a while every hotel begins to look like the next. The Clarendon refreshingly broke the mold and offered a unique place to stay that was also clean and inviting. This is a great remodel/ reuse of an old building done w/ style and a lot of thought. Staff was super freindly and very accomadating. The atmosphere is active, but not loud or obnoxious. The hotel bar/ restaurant is solid and even had live Flamenco dancers one of the nights I was there. What an awesome change of pace and unexpected bonus. If you're looking for a place that is not the same old cookie cutter hotel and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere I would highly recommend a stay at the Clarendon.
“Great place to stay!”
The hotel is a remodeled apartment building. They did a great job in the remodel, and rooms are roomy and clean! The restaurant and pool are awesome! Location is a bit out of the way, but for the deal and venue, totally worth it!
“very nice, definetely going back”
Very unique hotel! Definetely reccomending it!
