“Better than expected”

This hotel is very close to the airport and walking distance from the stadium and close to downtown. It appears the room had been recently remodeled. During my 3 day stay, I only saw Karla working the front desk, and she was always very nice and helpful. I only have 2 small complaints. 1) The pool was slightly yellow. Didn't see anybody using it. 2) The maid service was knocking on our door on Saturday & Sunday morning at 8:30am wanting to come in and clean. We were on vacation and out late the night before both nights. We had no plans on waking up before 9am. There were no "do not disturb signs" to put on the door. I really wanted to sleep in on my vacation.

“Better than expected”

For a cheap stopover very convenient for the airport we were pleasantly surprised. Large clean room; friendly staff. No complaints.

Area recommendations

Scottsdale for golf, shopping etc. Scottsdale Old Town for atmosphere, shops and history. Downtown Phoenix - buildings, etc.

“Great deal near downtown and Chase Field”

We usually stay one block west from this hotel at a much pricier chain... and were quite pleased with this hotel near Chase Field. Rooms are a bit smaller and older, but updated and breakfast is provided. Pool is not too desirable... but we were not there to swim. WIth close proximity to the wonderful downtown Phoenix area and attractions, this is one hotel I would stay at again, and I will. :)

Area recommendations

Be sure to spend time at Arizona Center and the downtown Phoenix area less than one mile from this hotel. Restaurants, movies, concerts, museums are all within a 15 minute walk.

“Super 8 phoenix”

Was very disappointment that the pool was closed on Sunday for cleaning and it never ended up being cleaned.

Area recommendations

Scottsdale - more to do and friendlier neighborhood.

“Nice, newly renovated motel at edge of good neighborhood”

I enjoyed staying here. Located at the edge of a mixed neighborhood of hotels and student apartments, within easy walking distance of ballpark, museums, conf center, university, Pizzeria Bianca etc. Across the street starts a ghetto-ish Mexican neighborhood, but it didn't bother me -- actually found a great supermarket with huge cafeteria there for burritos, agua fresca, lunch plates, etc. Got a room on the very end of the building, so Wi-Fi signal was bad. Also could not find a kleenex box in the room. Otherwise no complaints with the room.

“Super 8 Phoenix”

Nice affordable hotel, not a lot of frills. Good front office service, great location near downtown. As you go east though neighborhood gets a bit more sketchy but the hotel itself is absolutely fine. I would stay here again.

“disappointing stay in Phoenix”

The location is a little sketchy on the edge of a graffiti-filled neighborhood. We were afraid to go out at night. The air conditioner was extremely noisy, but as soon as it went off, it got very hot and stuffy in our small room. I would never stay here again.

Area recommendations

Probably anywhere in Scottsdale or northern Phoenix would be safer and more scenic.

“Decent for a Super 8”

The room was very clean and nice. Received the king bed I booked. Also had a fridge and microwave, a plus. The bathroom was very nice, large. Great big tub for soaking. However there was some sort of altercation outside in the middle of the night. Possible hotel guests were fighting, yelling and screaming at each other. Other than that the stay was fine.
