“Top Pick”

I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE! I couldn't believe how amazing everyone was. I am a girl in my 20's that was traveling alone for business and I felt so secure at every moment. I could not get over the amazing service! I could write so much more but I think you get my point. SO AMAZING! One sad thing...wall are thin.

“A Lovely Place to Stay”

I stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip and found the room to be very clean, comfortable and pleasant to stay in. All of the employees, aside from the front desk, were attentive, friendly and a pleasure to stay with. The front desk personnel were efficient, but pretty cold. I ate dinner at the bistro restaurant in the hotel and neither myself nor my coworker were impressed with the food and it was quite expensive so I recommend going elsewhere for dinner. Breakfast was wonderful, however, and I loved the buffet! Again, it was quite expensive, but it was delicious and worth the cost. Make sure you leave plenty of time to enjoy everything. The wait staff inside the bistro was wonderful and the service was excellent, but the food was a bit of a mixed bag. My room was clean, comfortable and easy to find. I was provided two free bottles of water and encouraged to stay hydrated during my stay. I was also given a free bottle of water on the free shuttle provided by the hotel that tool me straight from the airport to the hotel. I found the hotel a touch expensive and it is right next door to a busy freeway, but the sound was muffled and the location was perfect to get to my meeting and the airport with a minimum of fuss. Great for business travelers or for tourists who don't mind staying a bit out of the way.

Getting there
Go downstairs to the baggage claim, look for the airport on the sight and use the free switchboard to call the hotel directly. The free shuttle will be there in 5 - 20 minutes and take you directly to the front door!
Dining
There is a restaurant inside the hotel, but I recommend eating elsewhere due to price and quality of the food. Breakfast was really good, but the buffet costs about $15 per person + drinks and tips.

“A Good Choice”

We always plan to stay at a Marriott property because we like their beds. We were not disappointed with the Phoenix Marriott.

Area recommendations
The purpose of our three day visit was to spend time with my brother and his family. We also were there to attend the 80th birthday of a very old friend. We did not spend time in any one place but we did see parts of Surprise and also drove to the Orange Tree Golf Course in Scottsdale. Phoenix continues to grow exponentially. The expressways worked well and directional signs were well done. We rented a car from National--a Cadillac DTS for a very good price. Everything went well except our return flight was delayed. We waited on the tarmac for more than an hour because Air Force One was on the runway and it had to take off ,and absent the sir space before we could take off.

“Terrific Service”

My wife and our 3 year old daughter spent 3 days at this Marriott while visiting family. The accommodations are what you expect from a Marriott, good size rooms, comfortable bedding, and clean. However, what really made my stay enjoyable was the service. The front desk was extremely courteous and prompt when handling my request for a refrigerator and a different room. There was nothing wrong with my original room. I just wanted a two bed instead of a one bed. The waiter at the restaurant (which by the way has a great breakfast buffet) was very friendly and always gave my daughter the "children's discount". Finally, the last night we were there, we (me, my wife, and her dad) were having a night cap on the patio outside the bar watching our daughter entertain us. The bartender noticed that my daughter did not have anything to drink. So he decided to make her a Shirley Temple which she loved. Kudos to the staff at this Marriott! You made my experience very enjoyable and I will be back again.

“Good Value”

The hotel was located right off the highway. Very nice. My only complaint is that they charge $14.95 per day for internet.

“Excellent place to stay”

We were on the top floors and the view of Camelback Mtn. was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the halls were quiet. Very, very clean. I would absolutely stay here again.

“Good location and a nice place to stay”

If you have a car, the hotel is near enough to the airport to be quite convenient without being too close. Target is just down the street and it's easy to find your way around. There was wireless internet for a fee. The hotel was up to Marriott standards. I'd stay there again.

Area recommendations
The Scottsdale area was beautiful. It has beautiful landscaping and nice places to eat and shop, with an open, uncrowded atmosphere.

“A great hotel”

We had a great time here. We had a very large business event here but we never felt crowded or rushed. They did a great job accommodating our needs. The hotel is very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate and very well maintained. The pool and the jacuzzi were very clean at all hours but they close too early. The shuttle to/from the airport was quick and comfortable. The staff were very kind in keeping our luggage after checkout time so we could spend the day in Phoenix before going back to the airport. If there was any negatives to this hotel it would be that the bar is in the lobby, very understaffed , no real space to sit and relax with friends and it closes at 11:00PM. We were trying to watch the baseball playoffs and the very small TV in the bar made it difficult for everyone to watch. Also, the hotel is located such that you cannot walk to any other restaurants or stores in the area. I would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

Area recommendations
Sedona would be my first recommendation. The sunset on the red rocks was amazing! You should go through Phoenix and also Scottsdale. The shopping in Scottsdale is amazing
