“Wish we had more time”

We had one night in Phoenix after driving down from the Grand Canyon on the way back through to LA. I wish we had had another night at this hotel though. We were a little early but this was no problem and we had our rooms immediately after a little banter about Aussies vs Kiwis. Room was spacious, very clean and had a flat screen TV and fridge. Wifi worked well throughout the stay. We made use of the on site laundry facility also - was great to catch up on some washing. The reception team directed us to the Arizona centre for lunch which was a 10 min walk away where we had several choices for where to dine. We went back later after a swim for tea/dinner to a greek resturant there and had the best time. We had heard that downtown wasn't the safest place to be but we never felt threatened. Breakfast the next morning was awesome with pancakes available and eggs and bacon in addition to the usual cereals and pastries and there was plenty of dining room. I just wish we had more time to explore Phoenix a bit more and make more use of the lovely pool and other facilities at this hotel.

“If your headed downtown Phoenix.....This is a great deal, great location!”

Near the art museum, ASU Central, historical Phoenix, great skylines....Perfect! My daughter had never seen down town before and we had a great time looking around before going to a wonderful wedding at the Phoenix Art Museum. We will return for a longer stay soon.

Area recommendations

Down town is great for the old history. Also a central get on spot to freeway visits everywhere.

“Good Hotel”

Great hotel and very near the freeway. The staff was extremely friendly. Only downfall is that there's not many choices to eat that near the hotel. You do have to get in your car and drive a few miles.

“VERY COMFORTABLE!”

WE WENT TO THE CHASE FIELD AND THIS HOTEL IS A GREAT CHOICE TO STAY. VERY CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, FRIENDLY STAFF, IT HAS PARKING. I RECOMMEND IT!

“good location for sports fans”

Only problem was the AC causing the rug to become wet overnight. But, when reported maintenance came quickly to look at the problem. Within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions.

“Good experience but not great”

The hotel is very well located and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. However, the Air Conditioning in the room was pretty noisy (looked old) and the water in the pool was rather dirty (not transparent). Will recommend it if you are not planning to spend too much time there.

The hotel is located in a very good area, close to many other well-known hotels (like Sheraton) and to the University. Great night walks when the temperature is cooling down a bit!

Great for Baseball fans: Walking distance from the Stadium! Easy to find and conveniently located from the airport.

“Wrong Room”

Everything was fine, couple of exceptions. Arrived at 2:30 room wasnt ready, then checked in everything was great! Went out and left the hotel didnt even leave my things in my room. Came back 3 hours later opened the door to my room and found other people's belonings in my room. Front desk was completely confused and could not figure out what happened. Took my key checked to see if my key opened the door. came back to the front desk apologized and got me a new room with one king bed in place of the 2 queens i had reserved.

“Very Nice Place to Stay”

Arrived late at night and was welcomed nicely. Room very clean. Complimentary breakfast was amazing. Very good food with lots of choices. Would definitely stay there again. And thanks, Expedia, for the great price!

“Phoenix Gem!”

This was a great stay, friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast buffet, central to most things in Phoenix. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable and clean. Excellent value for the cost of the room. Free parking downtown too which is a bonus in a secured lot. Not a luxury 5 star hotel but if you are looking for a comfortable sleep and not break the bank you will be thrilled staying at this hotel. Not sure what more I could want for in a hotel!

Area recommendations

For the outdoorsy types Piestewa Peak is a great hike that gives amazing views of the city. It can be quite brutal in the Arizona heat though if your not used to those temperatures! Sedona while 1.5 hours away is simply stunning up there and a great day trip. Quaints shops and cafes, great hikes and vistas for photos.
