“Budget Lodge Phoenix Downtown great value”
Very clean tidy spacious twin room in a convenient downtown location. Friendly management. Free wifi worked well. Even provided coffee, fruit and pastry for breakfast. For this location and price great value.
“Clean and cheap”
Very clean for the price. I didn't want to pay the usual price for a downtown Phoenix hotel for this time of year and I decided to give Budget a chance. I needed something close to Arizona State Downtown campus and it was an easy walk. Very friendly staff. I didn't expect anything fancy and it wasn't but it was a great deal for the price. Clean!
“great for the price”
The motel is clean and well kept. The room is small as is the bathroom but everything is impeccably clean. Get a room that does not face the street....no noise. Great price for a short stay in downtown Phoenix. We will use this motel again.
“Phoenix's best budget hotel”
I stayed at the Budget Lodge Phoenix for three nights in October while attending the World Workplace conference at the Phoenix Convention Centre (about a 15 mins walk away). While my colleagues blew several hundred dollars a night at the Sheraton, I was hugely impressed by the value offered at the Budget Lodge Phoenix. The rooms are very clean, large and well-appointed (the free WiFi is brilliant). The service is very friendly too. It is simply excellent value for money and I would certainly stay there again should I be in Phoenix.
“Great Place and Price”
When I first saw pictures of it I was a little ify. I was surprised when I got into my room. It was very nice. The outside and neighborhood werent great ,but if you want to be close to downtown and have a low budget this is a good place to stay.
“Recommend”
At first we had issues about the hotel because of previous reviews concerning the neighborhood where the hotel is located. But we did not have any problems and had a terrific time. The hotel is clean and well maintained. This is not a luxury experience...two floors, one ice machine, one soda machine...you get the point. But if you want affordable, clean and convenient (walking distance to Chase Field, US Air arena, transit terminal) then we very much recommend this facility. It's also very easy access to the airport and the I-10. We would stay here again.
“best value for the area”
The cleanliness of the room really impressed me. It is small, but sparkly clean and has more frills than what you would expect from such a hotel/rate: hair drier, iron and ironing board, extra table (beside the buffet/desk) and chairs. If you are on a budget, this is the perfect place walking distance from Phoenix downtown, perfect if you go to conferences/conventions and are not into "luxury". The most bothersome is the street noise which can be heard inside the rooms since the hotel is on a main street and only has 2 floors
“Budget Lodge Phoenix”
This is my second stay at Budget Lodge Phoenix. It is clean, well maintained, comfortable and affordable. It has ample free parking, but is so close to public transportation (Light Rail and buses) that I have not rented a car either time I've been there. I will stay here every time I go to Phoenix/Tempe.
“As others have described it”
The hotel was as others described it. Very clean, very quiet, very basic. At first, I wasn't sure about the safety of the location, but when my husband and I walked around, we discovered that we were at the edge of the convention district, and that there were a number of eateries and bars to choose from. The other guests at the hotel appeared to be convention goers. We became comfortable with the location and appreciated having a microwave and fridge in the room.. Maid staff was conscientious. The view out the window was a parking lot. If you like ambience, you will not be happy here.
“Great deal!”
Budget Lodge is a well run, clean, safe, and conveniently located hotel in downtown Phoenix. If all you need is the basics and a bargan, this is your place. Great air conditioning too, and that is a real plus in this terrain!
