Trash in room

Pretty Good--A Little Disappointed

Cons: Our advice to the staff: Keep your guests informed, apologize for problems, and offer compensation--don't wait for the guests to take the initiative.
Location: One block off of Hwy 60 in Mesa. Close to downtown Gilbert.
We usually use Days Hotel just a few miles west of here. We decided to try this hotel because it was a little closer. It was a bit more expensive, but the rooms were clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff was pleasant. Our only disappointment was, that although free wifi was advertised, we only had consistent internet service for two days. Although we mentioned it to the staff on several occasions, we were never given an explanation nor did any staff ever say they were sorry for the problem, they just mentioned how frustrating it was for them as well. Finally, at check-out, we mentioned that we had incurred additional cell phone charges in order to use the internet and we thought that we should get a refund on our bill. The receptionist took our contact info and said the manager would get in touch us by phone or email. After waiting seven hours, we finally called her. She stated that it was AT&T's problem and they had no control over it. She said the only thing she could do was say she was sorry. Finally she reluctantly agreed to refund the amount of the cell phone overages--$40. This seemed like a meager compensation for six days without internet -- a major inconvenience. So, assuming that the internet is usually working, I think this could be a pretty good stay for a reasonable price.

Our management team understands how frustrating this can be and how necessary internet access is. Even though the situation was out of our control I am sorry the staff was unable to give an explanation or say they were sorry. I will discuss with the staff as a training issue. The problem has been rectified and should no longer be an issue. We hope you will allow us the opportunity to welcome you back another time.

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. It was close to our relatives and convenient to get to from the freeway. The room was nice. The bed was comfy. The pool was clean. Breakfast was good. The desk attendant was informative, friendly, and helpful. We arrived before check-in, but were able to do so. Overall, we had a great stay and the price was excellent.

So clean, awesome hotel!

We stayed in a two queen on ground level and it was super clean, no funky smell to the room like so many places,staff was very nice. There's a sports bar right next to the hotel with good wings an drinks and the hotel pool was perfect for little kids and adults. Can't wait to stay there again!
