This is my fourth or fifth time staying at the Wigwam, and there's no place I'd rather stay in the Greater Phoenix area. The staff is FANTASTIC, the resort is beautiful with plenty of amenities, and the on-site dining is wonderful.
Our first night was fine, second night was a different story. We were woken up by Jack hammers outside our bedroom window. We went to the manager and he had moved us to a suite and offered us another night. Too bad we had to go back to Seattle the next day. Very accomidating staff. Made up for being woken up on our vacation.
Very nice, quiet room. Breakfast was much more than the typical continental breakfast that you get in most hotels. They had an omelet bar and plenty of fresh options. Better than average coffee too. Will definitely stay here again
We had two rooms with friends to go to football game. The staff was very nice and allowed us to park our motorcycles up front for safety. We had one issue with our key not working but it was resolved. The property is kept very clean. The honor system store was nice and prices were reasonable. The lobby is very small but that is only an issue when multiple groups are checking in. The bed seemed smaller than a queen and a little hard but the room is nice sized and fit our needs. We didn't use the laundry but love the fact that they offer this for free. Will have to consider on long motorcycle trips when laundry is necessary.
Yes, the hotel is a little tired; it looks like a converted Embassy Suites. But...it is great value for the price. The location can't be beat. Parking is NOT a problem. I was there when two large conventions were going on but there were still parking spots in the rear lot. Ok...you have to walk about a 100 yards!! The breakfast did not have a lot of variety but you could get eggs, pancakes, bacon, and sausage (included in your room charge) and plenty of coffee and juice. Lots of towels available at each of the two pools. A very friendly staff. When I asked for early cleaning of my room, they had a maid there within 10 minutes. All in all...I would definitely stay there again.
