Terrible!

Pros: staff is nice, that is it, but hotel...................
You can hear almost anything from anywhere, street, other rooms etc, Voice isolation is really teribble, beside, the room is really too small,

Crappy hotel -- Horror story about an incident

Pros: Furnishings were pretty modern (despite the front entrance of the hotel looking really downtrodden).
Cons: Workers here need to be more professional. Door cards are unreliable. Housekeeping can't be trusted, will steal your things.
Location: Pretty convenient but there honestly are more, and better hotels nearby and all around. I truly regret staying here.
When I arrived there was a guest having a hard time getting into his room due to the card sensor not working. I discovered I had the same issue. Brian K. was nice enough, and quite apologetic. Asked if I had tried certain card tapping strategies and I ensured him I had and he hurried to get the issue fixed. Shortly after midnight my 2nd night, I asked the guy at the front desk if check out was at noon, which he confirmed. (I travel frequently and am used to noon check out times.) The next morning went for an outdoor run at 10:30 in order to leave enough time to shower, change and pack before noon check out. Upon my return at around 11:45 I found all of my belongings shoved in my bags & IN THE HALLWAY, UNATTENDED!! Obviously, I was not happy. Learned that check out was at 11, which was NOT what I had been told. Brian insisted he had tried calling my number several times but that it was going to some Dr's office. I asked that he double check and sure enough, he had looked up the WRONG person's # and he had my correct #! I had items still in the room and wanted to shower, then realized that they had hurried to get my stuff out of the room in order to renovate the bathroom. Are you kidding me?! They scheduled a renovation at 11 right after a guest's move out time and left no buffer time for delays?!? Insane. The housekeeping lady dug through and packed all my stuff, and I discovered that she had also removed the spare toilet roll I had packed. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Great location, parking convenient/reasonable

Looking at this hotel from the outside, expectations were low, however, we were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. both room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Parking is across the street in a parking garage that charges only $12 per 24 hours with hotel validation. Great location, everything within reach.

Small boutique hotel close to Center City.

Great location, super friendly staff, excellent accommodations for the price. Will definitely stay there again. Loved the European feel to the hotel.

Lots of problems

I stayed in a single with bathroom across the hall. I knew that ahead of time but room was tiny, bathroom even smaller. Tub was disgusting, though tiling was nice, as though they stopped mid-renovation. One night it rained heavily and roof leaked (on 5th floor and it has 6 floors). On bright side, bed was comfortable, they had good internet and location is good.

We find some of your comments very disturbing. Our hotel recently underwent a massive renovation and among the areas we modernize were our bathrooms. We shall have to examine the bathroom you used to assess the state of the bathtub. You also mentioned that during your stay the roof leaked in two places. This issue was never brought to our attention. Also, it is hard for us to imagine with the recent renovations made on our property that our roof has holes that would enable rain water to enter. Nevertheless, you have our assurance that we will investigate this matter. We sincerely hope that you will consider staying with us again in the near future. Right place nice accomadations

Pros: Quirky european rooms on the ground floor level (no doors on the bathroom) works best for one person staying in the room. Cute and compact elevator.
Location: Center of all things. Historical sites, night life, buiness.....close to all
Hotel was clean, check in a breeze. Front desk staff pleasent and helpful.

Everything is very close!

I was only there for a period of 24 hours. While they couldn't give me a late check out, they graciously stored my luggage for about 8 hours. They were very knowledgeable of the area it's gems.

A nice start

Pros: The location, rates, service, rooms.
Cons: bathroom
Location: Centrally located to all major attractions in Philly. Also located in the gayborhood for anyone looking for LGBT activities.
Overall, the hotel is really nice. I am not sure how long they have been open, but the hotel looks pretty new and refreshed. The hotel looks like it was converted and updated from an older, no-name hotel. The main lobby was really bright and inviting. The hallways were a little cramped, but, again, you can't do much about it when working with a pre-exsisting floor plan. The room was nice as well. Again, recently renovated and updated. Even being a small room, the layout was done in a way to make it feel more spacious than it was. The room was clean and tidy, no dust or dirt. The only slight complaint i had was in the bathroom. Again, it was small, being the layout of the hotel itself, but it was a bit cramped that they had to cut out side of the vanity to fit the toilet. The fixtures were old and a bit outdated and there was no toilet paper holder. Aside from that, it was all clean and presentable as best it could be. For what it was, it was a really nice experience. I plan on staying there again.
