“good location”
The location is very convenient! Just next to Logan Square and walking distance to Rittenhouse Square and shopping area. If you walk down to Chestnut Street or Walnut Street (5-7 minute walk), you can take route 21 to and from UPenn or historic district. Loved it.
“Great Location for the parade and other activities”
We enjoy our stay there with the kids, it was crowded because of the thanksgiving parade but we like that we were in the center of the event. Their breakfast is good too, but the kitchenette has no utensils in it. Over all it was good experience
“Service sucks but hotel in decent condition”
This hotel is well situated - within ten minutes walk of lots of stuff. The hotel is a little old with some upgrading necessary - cracked sink in bathroom etc. Bigger problem was various service items. Toilet paper was not replaced after 3 days and we had to call down for it, The breakfast was good on 2 days but the middle day was terrible - they were short of everything (bacon, sausage, juice, yoghurt, plates, cutlery etc). On the first night I valet parked my car. When I requested it, the car was brought up and parked behind a van, no-one approached me, When we finally noticed the car after 20 minutes, I was told the valet had gone upstairs with the keys, He returned after 10 more minutes with a bunch of luggage and my keys. BTW I was outside the front door the entire time. When we checked out, the hotel tried to charge me for 3 nights of valet parking even though I only used them the first night. This hotel is not on my recommended list.
“Airconditioner doesn't work well. It was not big prolem but if it was cold, it may be a problem.”
Totally, good.
“Great place to stay!”
Absolutely love the spaciousness of the rooms. Very comfortable bed and plenty of room! Thanks!
“Quick trip to philly”
Great Hotel, maybe the best I've stayed at. Staff was wonderful, location is perfect, I can't say enough about this place. This is where I would stay again.
“great spot to stay”
great spot!
“Big Suites - Small Service”
At first glance, the size of the suites is impressive, especially at the price! However, the "happy hour" consisted of mediocre beer and bar snacks laid out haphazardly with no effort at actual customer service. The same applied to the breakfast, which seemed to be run by employees that really didn't want to be there, with poor maintenance of the buffet. I barely find myself recommending the Embassy Suites, mostly for the accomodations, not the service.
“Good Quality”
The hotel has large rooms and comfortable bedding and nice flat screen TV's. The only issue I had was that the water didn't drain in our bathtub very well. You took a shower and wound up standing in some water, which is gross. I did make the front desk aware of the problem upon checkout and they apologized many times. I did not like the breakfast buffet very much and if it wasn't including in the price of the room, I probably would have complained. It's in a TGIFriday's and the restaurant is narrow and not spacious. It wasn't very clean and the food was subpar. The restaurant employees were not too good either. The location of this hotel is perfect for a museum visit. Overall, it was a good visit and I would return.
“Water problems”
Our room had a dripping faucet in the kitchen area. When I walked over to see if I could turn it off, I noted the carpet was very wet. I called and someone came and said the water on the floor was from the mini fridge having been defrosted. When I said it was too much water for that, and it extended way beyond the kitchen area, it was brushed aside and minor repairs were made on the sink. By the next day, the water had spread and the sofa cushions taken off to sleep on the sofa bed were wet, as was any luggage in the living room. The sink was dripping again. We were given a new room, which also had wet carpet, this time in another part of the room. What their problem is, I don't know. We worried about mold.
