Our stay in the Hotel Monaco was wonderful. The room had a beautiful view of Independence Mall and was exceptionally clean when we arrived. The ice machine was on a different floor which was annoying but other than that, everything was much better than expected. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a hotel that is close to absolutely everything in Philadelphia.
This is my second stay at Le Meridian. A second stay because our first stay last year was so good. Staff are fully competent and completely nice. This includes the front desk, the bartenders and especially the Valet parkers. It is so nice to stay at a hotel where the elevators are all working, are fast and available. I'm furthermore impressed with the environment, sleekness of this hotel with its modernistic furnishings l. The bar in this hotel is a very cool place. I also really like the soundtrack of the music that plays in the background to the common areas. Currently, I'm the parent of freshman at Haverford College. My wife and I are therefore looking forward to future stays at Le Meridian over the next four years.

Location is really good. You are on the east end of old city where the majority of museums are located. Less than a block to the subway station market & 2nd st. The subway will take you anywhere you want to go for less than $2 each way. Lots of restaurants, pubs, shops nearby for whatever kind of tastes you have. The hotel managment seem to really care that everyone enjoys their stay. We had one small issue which was rectified right away which shows they care. It is an old building with lots of character and the rooms are on the smaller side which is expected for these types of older buildings. Hotel lounge has massive supply of wines and good happy hours daily.
We stay at this hotel on a regular basis while visiting our son at Drexel University. You can walk to many attractions and restaurants easily, and you can leave your car parked in their parking deck even after checkout.
