This was the second stop on our honeymoon. We were staying in the ocean view villa. The first day, we went to the pool to hang out and about 5 hours into our stay, our bottom floor flooded. Luckily, none of our stuff got damaged and it wasn't anyone's fault. The manager upgraded us to the Deluxe Suite, which was very nice. However, after a few hours, the AC stopped working. I kept calling and letting them know it was not working and the manager just kept saying it was being handled. Our room was running about 85-90 degrees.
Finally, at 10:45 PM, the guy on duty said they would move us to another room for the night. So, my wife and I had to move yet again. In the morning, we returned and the AC was working again. We were told to speak with the manager for some compensation. We were out on an excursion all day and when we got back, we spoke to one of the staff members. We explained everything that went on yesterday and he asked what he could do for us. We agreed to a bottle of wine and he said he would send it up right away. It took another 4 hours to get the wine. The bottle of wine cost $7.
In the morning, the manager stopped us and said he would give us 1 comp meal for our troubles, which was a little disheartening. He seemed like he was more bothered by us than what had happened to us.
