“A lovely place to stay”

My husband left the kids with Grandma and Grandpa and went to Petoskey for a short getaway - Sun-Tues in early August. Stafford's staff were very gracious and helpful & town and hotel were charming. Room was spacious, clean & had a great view. TV was limited (which bothered my hubby more than me!). It was lovely to be able to walk around town at night, very peaceful & relaxing compared to big cities we are used to. Sunday nite was VERY quiet, Monday (surprisingly) a lot more festive. Lots of people out and about, outdoor music, etc. Location of hotel is great for shopping, dining and exercising (running/bike path along the lake). No beaches nearby (which was fine with us, but good to know). All-in-all, a great time.

“Pretty, historic hotel; great experience”

Hotel was very pretty -- nice view of the water. Good food at the restaurant.

“Nice getaway”

Nice hotel, room was very much smaller than expected and furnitue was not real comfortable. Not very soundproof. Our room being right off of the restaurant was noisy. There was a wedding reception while we were there, band did a little practicing the night before kind of late. Was loud because we were in the first room in the hallway leading from the restaurant.
