“A little bit of heaven in the Tuscan/Umbrian countryside”

This was a beautiful spot. We could hardly believe the views, the smells and the sounds of hunters shooting early on Saturday morning. A former monastery, this has been renovated and you really feel away from it all. There is a lovely pool area and a pavilion where weddings are held. Breakfast buffet is beautiful (the bruschetta is a must-have) and I recommend the cappuccino or espresso over American coffee, which was weak. Our room, although charming, was dark and small so that was a minus. So was the fact that our television did not work at all but we were really too tired to try to decipher Italian television. No internet in the room but there is a computer in the office for email checking. The restaurant is open the the public; food was exquisite (though we were not thrilled with the prospect of stuffed duck's necks) and quite pricey. But it's all part of the experience. Would I return? When can I go?
