“Needs updating”
Rather tired and not very comfortable.
“Will stay there again”
Very satisfied overall with the hotel. However there was a terrible smell coming from the drain in our bathroom (room 317). We mentioned this at check-out.
“Extremely disappointed!”
The hotel staff was friendly but didn't know the city or how to direct to different places. The bathrooms (we had 2 different rooms) were old, not well kept. The showers leaked and old stains in the tub. The hotel is close to Barrack Jetty and the ferries for different tours. Again I would not choose to stay here again.
“Overpriced 3 star accommodation in Perth CBD, not for families....”
A last minute family getaway to Perth saw us limited to accommodation choices. The Novotel is well located a few blocks from the CBD however we felt it was very overpriced compared to other hotels which we have stayed at. The staff were very friendly and all requests were met promptly and efficiently. The rooms are very small and although accomodated 4 persons in 2 double beds space was very restricted. None of the rooms expect for the suites have views and the rooms are very basic. There are limited choices for eating in and around the Novotel. Eating at the hotel itself is very expensive especially for families. A meal at the restaurant would have set us back over $200 hence we sought an alternative. There is an Irish Pub located next door however this is just as expensive and closes for meals very early each evening. Breakfast was certainly a highlight, the choices were endless and plentiful however despite being included in our package, we found set us back $35 per person each day! Regular buses operate outside the Novotel which provide free transport within the CBD and are a great way to get around. I would recommend the Novotel for the single, couple or business person however not a place for families.
“Pretty Average”
First time I've slept in a bed where my matress was softer than my pillow. Woke up several times during the night with a sore back due to the lack of support of the matress. Was pleased with the room overall but for this one main discomfort. Within 10 minutes of taking posession of our room, the mini bar attendant let himself in the room twice; once when I was dressed only in a towel. He proceded to check the fridge stock levels to see if the previous guests had swipped any goodies that had not been paid for. Quite incredible really. Housekeeping made a pretty pathetic attempt at cleaning the room in the morning. Bed wasn't made properly and the bathroom remained untouched; except for one towel which had been folded. The other towel was left hanging on the door (it must have been the naughty one). Buffet breakfast was the stand-out of the stay. Good variety and good quality. Lobby and restaurant areas are well presented. The attached Irish pub is filthy and the food service is slow. The concierge ended up serving my meal; obviously filling in for someone that hadn't turned up. The building itself is in a good central location. On the whole, was a pretty average experience. I booked this room a while ago at a very reasonable rate. I was left to feel that the service definitely reflected what I'd paid for. Would have been extremely dissapointed if I'd paid full price.
“Location Location”
The Novetel Langley Perth central location is excellent, walking distance to everything we needed to make out stay complete. The service was outstanding and the staff are very friendly and not the mention the outstanding buffet breakfast.
“Good location, great city”
It was worth the price. We booked online two days prior to arrival which caused some confusion at first because our reservation was not known to the hotel - nevertheless after a few minutes got our room on the top floor (very clean and comfortable). Parking garage is a bit too small for the size of the hotel since we had to park at the Sheraton next door one day - and still got charged the parking fee at Novotel. Overall a good business hotel in the heart of the city.
“Made to feel very welcome.”
Ideally situated for transport to and from the city and within walking distance also.Local cafes, car hire and Perth Mint very close by. Nice atmosphere in the hotel and staff very friendly and helpul. I would recommend this hotel to any traveller and would certainly stay here again.
“Would love to go back”
Just what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Excellent in all aspects. Well placed for going into the town or by the river. Would recommend it to anyone.
