Good value for a central hotel.

Posted 02-May-2015
The hotel has a good location and is adequate, if a little dated now. The room was nice and clean but didn't have tge luxurious factor, but at $149 for the night including the smorgasbord breakfast, it represents good value for money.

Perth icon (warm Danish included)

Posted 22-Apr-2015
I can not praise Miss Maud's more! The staff are so incredibly kind and make you feel very special... The breakfast buffet foods are fresh and soooo good.... AND it is central to everywhere - including public transport. Thank you for a lovely stay in this iconic hotel in Perth.... I'll be back :)

Miss Maud's hotel exceeded our expectations.

Posted 02-Mar-2015
Pros: The carpeting, having a laundry facility, and a secured (locked) room for luggage for travelers arriving before check-in time or after check-out time
Cons: The lobby area
Location: Listed above. Many dining options, tourist attractions, and shopping district within walking distance.
It is an old styled hotel with a sense of elegance. The adjoining bakery and restaurant have the royal European elegance. The location was perfect for us as we were able to walk to the mall (shopping) area as well as to parks, the bell tower, and the harbor. I had read reviews on many Perth hotels, and although there were faults with all I looked into, I made the right decision in choosing Miss Maud's. The lobby area is too small, but the staff is very good.

Handy to the venue we were attending

Posted 25-Feb-2015
Pros: Cleanliness, staff and the breakfast.
Location: We stayed there (this was our 3rd stay) in order to attend The Eagles concert at the Arena.
The lady on reception told us the Arena was a "7 - 10 minute walk up the hill & then you're almost there". We're not the only people she gave this incorrect information to. When asked why she told us it only took that long she replied by saying "I must walk faster than you". It took us at least 25 minutes to get to the top of the hill! P.S. She should have guessed that we don't walk as fast as she might ... we look (& are) somewhat older than she is.

Old fashioned hotel

Posted 22-Feb-2015
Pros: It was quaint!
Cons: Probably not much to be improved upon as it is an older hotel and cost of refurbishment would be ridiculous for return.
Location: Centrally located to all city attractions - museum/art gallery/arena/shops/restaurants
I liked the hotel although room was smaller than other's we've stayed in and I didn't like the small window at the top of the room - I did feel slightly claustrophobic. Breakfast was ok - most people would find something to eat there. I was impressed that they had lactose free milk.

Enjoyable short stay whilst in transit. Handy to just about everything. Bed was comfortable and a good buffet breakfast was included.
