“Great location and very nice linen”

My second time at this hotel, and I'm glad I returned. Great location in the center of Perth, a stone's throw from the shopping belt, a 10 minute walk to the edge of the Swan river. Best of all, I loved the beautiful white sheets and extremely comfortable pillows and mattress.

Area recommendations

Definitely take a cruise up to fremantle from barrack pier the views are exceptional and the restaurants are great. Also take a trip up to kings park in perth you wont be disapointed

Raffles restaurant is great in south perth, the price is pretty high but well worth it. I would rate it 10

“An excellent location to visit Perth”

Our fives days at the Perth Holiday Inn was most enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and went out of their way to help us. The location is wonderful. We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to see or do. Our room was very quiet. The Cat buses have stops very close to the hotel. The two negatives about the hotel would be the internet access is expensive to use in your room. They do have an internet downstairs that is a bit more reasonable in cost to use.

Area recommendations

I would recommend staying on Hay Street at the Holiday Inn Center City. It was the perfect location for restaurants, public and free CAT buses, the railroad station, easy pick up for tours and enjoying Perth's center city.

Getting around

We used the free CAT buses. They were able to take us to most locations we wanted to visit. We took the Swan River boat tour to Fremantle and returned via the train. All modes of public transportation we used were very clean and convenient.

“Useful city centre hotel”

Found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Could not fault them. However in general terms the place is rather tired, and could do with a makeover. Then again, that would raise the tariff which was very reasonable. Swings and roundabouts!

“Great city stay location”

Great price and perfect location for a shopping trip to the city. Clean comfortable and quiet rooms. Modern decor and great indoor pool facilities. No complaints apart from the restaurant service.

The hotel restuarant served good quality food but the service was pretty appalling - not enough staff to service both diners and the bar. Attitude of staff was indifferent and disinterested.

“Great Location Generous Rooms Courteous Staff”

This was an excellent choice of hotel for our stay in Perth. Central and well positioned. The rooms were a generous size, often hard to find in capital city accomodation. Well appointed and very clean. All the staff we dealt with were friendly, helpful and courteous. This hotel represents very good value for the tariff. We would definately stay here again.

“Very outdated hotel, good location”

This hotel is extremely outdated in comparising to many other Holiday Inn Hotels I have stayed in. The beds are new and comfortable, everything else seriously needs an update. The location is very convenient, in the middle of the city center. We stayed with some of our friends in 2 rooms next to each other. One of the rooms was only half the size of the other room although we booked together and paid the exact same amount for both rooms. The hotel is built in a U-shape, and our rooms were at the end of the hall. These rooms have views on the aircon vents on the roof and are noisy because of the same reason. When complaining about the different size of the rooms and the noise, the front desk wasn't very helpful. The size of the room that was given was a matter of good luck (when appointed a big room) or bad luck (when appointed a small room). The rooms near the aircon vents were the most quiet ones the hotel offered, according to the manager... Their supposed "solution" was to place us in different rooms on different floors for one night only, but the rooms would be noisier. Not a very good solution! Furthermore, this "solution" was only offered when asking for a complaint form. At first the manager said that there was no solution and there was nothing he could do. All rooms were supposedly occupied. When I said I wasn't happy with his unwilling attitude and asked for a complaint form, suddenly there were rooms available.
