“"Not favorably impressed with this motel"”

I have never been disappointed with any stay that I have booked through Expedia, but I was with this one. This is my first stay at Red Roof Inn and it will probably be my last. A change in itinerary made it necessary to change my original reservation because I couldn't get a 2 night stay for a price that fit in my budget. I had read the mixed reviews for this motel and decided to take a chance because it was reasonable and the location was good for me. It was not a good decision. The first room that we were given was supposed to be non-smoking and smelled very much of stale cigarette smoke. We asked for another and that smelled somewhat better. I don't need a lot of frills but one of the beds felt like the springs were coming through the top of the mattress. The entire property is in desperate need of updating. The only good thing about it was the staff was friendly and willing to help. I will not stay there again.

“Fine for the weary traveler”

Friendly front desk staff, clean room and discounts to local restaurants. Good price. Bed was too soft for me but pillows were great. Everything was clean and that's what mattered most.

“extremely dirty room”

the bathroom walls had brown stuff all over it and hair in the shower -was not pleased. sheets and chairs had burn stains in them from cigarettes. extremely uncomfortable to sleep for the weekend.

“disappointed”

No fridge or microwave which is disappointing this day and age. Long term residents apparently in the building I stayed in. Late night pounding and verbal fights every night. Will not come back.

“rooms smell like old smoke”

i have stayed in this hotel twice because the price was right. however, i'm not going to give it a third try. the sheets felt clean, but when the rest of the room feels like an ashtray it just doesn't work.
