“Pleasant stay”

We stayed at the Cititel Penang for three nights from 8 - 11 June 2011 on Floor 12 with a seaview. The room was very clean and comfortable. A buffet breakfast was included in the rate. The breakfast had a very wide variety of food on offer including fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast, pastries and hot selections. There was also a variety of local breakfast dishes. We had room service one night and there was a good selection on the menu at reasonable prices. The hotel is on Penang Road in Georgetown, the older part of Penang. Very convenient for walking to local shopping, restaurants and sightseeing in Georgetown. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. (BrisbaneTraveller2)

“it's old but location is good”

I and my wife stay here for two nights, breakfast and service is average. hotel's facility is so poor and old only location is in the core of George Town.

Great experience. Easy check-in/out, no surprises. Friendly staff. Clean rooms, spacious. We had a nice view of Penang Road and the waterfront. Nice breakfast spread. Computers available with free Internet access. Great location near shops, buses, trishaws and taxis - all outside the front door. I will definitely go back again. Highly recommended.

“Great location - Good Value”

Great location and good value. Hotel is a modern high-rise hotel seemingly popular with business people and tour groups. It didn't have a lot of character, but in Penang you get plenty of that walking the city! Buffet breakfast has a very broad selection that caters to many different tastes, but not necessarily the best quality. Hotel is well kept and clean. Superior rooms were nicely updated, comfortable and clean, but not overly large.

The staff were courteous, attentive and very polite. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and different varieties every day. Although the surroundings are not impressive, one cannot expect any hote to be perfect in all aspects.

Everything in this hotel went as expected. The location was fantastic and the rooms were clean. We were very satisfied with our stay. Would defn go back!

“Nice Location, at the center of George Town”

8月15日から2泊滞在しました。 George Townの中心にホテルが位置しているので観光の拠点として大変重宝しました。 また、ホテルの清掃が行き届いており、大変満足でした。唯一気になった点は、ホテルの水道のお湯が若干茶色掛かっていたため水道水は不安でした（これはPenang島に共通している点かもしれません）。 注意点としては、ホテルの無線LAN接続が有料かつ低速なので、3Gインターネットモデムをプリペイド契約した方が高速なインターネットを楽しめます。
