"Step back in time at the Harmony. Like, waaaay back. The hotel faces the canal and a lot of history. Actually, it sits beside and in front of a lot of history, too. Check in was easy, the stairs aren’t quite Amsterdam walk-up steep, but you might give consideration to taking the available elevator nonetheless. Our room was above the dining area and faced the canal. The view from the deck was simply awesome. The weather was oddly—for Ghent I am told—perfect. People milled in the streets and cafes drinking, eating, laughing, and, yes, singing. I was a festive atmosphere. Our room had comfortable linens and mattress, more than adequate HVAC, plenty of hot water and other amenities. And then there was the view to behold! The hotel is nearby many restaurants and pubs and across the street from one of the oldest pubs with plenty of Belgian biers to sample. The Harmony fairly exudes olde world atmosphere but has plenty of modern accommodations (the upstairs pool, for instance). "
"Very good hotel in the heart of Ghent. The staff were very hyelpful, the newly updated room was very comfortable.
Location perfect on edge of the historic centre.
Room comfotable and spacious, great shower and bathroom. Very good tea and coffee. Nice to have had a sofa in the room and small table. Parking under the hotel is convenient and safe. Breakfast was perfect, a buffet with everything you would hope for."
"Perfect location for sightseeing Ghent; most, if not all, points of interest in easy walking distance. Clean, well appointed hotel that directly opens onto the Korenlei. Had a great stay in Ghent thanks to a good base camp at the Marriott!"
