It was a great experience staying at Hotel Cheval. Service and staff were excellent. Rooms are very comfortable and it is right in the middle of town. You can walk everywhere.

Lovely property, great service and a great location with easy parking. Bed is comfortable, room is clean and spacious. The breakfast and the bar are both good. Issues were the basin is very high up and has no plug. There is no hand held wand in the shower to wash hair with. Our room was below a staircase so people walking up and down the stairs make a stomping noise.

I have said this before, but Hotel Cheval, just like Mary Poppins is practically perfect in every way. This beautiful boutique hotel is located in the heart of downtown Paso Robles and within walking distance of the park, shops, delis, bars, and some of the best restaurants in the world. The staff are warm and friendly, and their breakfast is delicious, made with local ingredients. And let's not forget about their fantastic coffee! Treat yourself to this idyllic oasis in the heart of Paso Robles. The only thing that could make it more perfect is if they had wine running on a tap in the courtyard. Maybe one day.

Hotel Cheval is spectacular! I stay here with my fiancé every year we come and it’s consistently an amazing spot. The staff are so nice and helpful, the rooms are luxurious, and it’s always wonderful. It is worth the cost! We will only stay here when we come for our annual NYE trip

A very elegant, yet low key, hotel in the ever-growing mid-California wine region. Beautiful rooms, very cozy. And, they were fantastically welcoming to our pup!

The hotel Cheval is wonderful and charming. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The staff is outstanding on every measure. Wonderful outdoor fireplaces managed by the hotel are a great way to enjoy an evening and they will even make you a delicious s’more. The cocktail lounge is outstanding and the complementary breakfast each morning is delicious. The Cheval is a real gem in this wonderful wine town.

Wonderful Hotel. The staff is very accommodating and so friendly. Love the nightly outside wood fires and the s’mores (at least 8 different flavors)! Would definitely stay there again.

One of the best hotel experiences I have had in years. The staff was attentive, the room was gorgeous and the grounds were perfect for relaxation. The breakfast was better than any I could buy. Really, truly enjoyed the entire experience.

Wonderful Experience
This was our first visit to Paso Robles and we had a wonderful time. Hotel Cheval was one of the most accommodating properties we have stayed at. The staff from the host, bartenders, and s’more maker are unrivaled!

Some hiccups…
When we arrived our room was being repaired from a water leak. We were not able to get into our room until 6:00 (rather than 3:00). The did give us a $50 credit off the $500 rate… The bathroom has two doors that open up, but do not close completely, are very noisy and directly next to the bed. Was told at breakfast that someone would be out to take my coffee order and that never happened, and eggs were cold. Parking is very tricky and limited. Overall not horrible, but not the level of service/quality hoped for.
