“A relaxing end to our holiday.”
Very comfortable hotel with a unique character - quirky art deco furnishings and decor. Bedroom on top floor was very quiet with all you could need. Bathroom very slightly on the "worn" side -where repairs have been done not made back to completely new. We changed from room only to half board after seeing evening menu. Very good food at a reasonable price. Breakfast was rather expensive but with a vast selection available at buffet style service. This saw us through lunch as well! Hotel about a (very pleasant) 15 minute walk from the town. Didn't put us off but might be significant for some people. We would be happy to stay here again.
“Excellent hotel”
Would highly recommend this hotel-the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was lovely. There is a 15 minute walk to the town centre but this was fine as the neighbourhood is very improessive and it wasn't raining! Would definitely stay again
“Great Hotel”
3rd time we've stayed at this hotel and can't fault it. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms and a great pool area.
“Love Le Touquet”
This is the fifth time I have been and will continue to return, there is always somewhere new to find and lots of things to do. Restaurants are excellent, plenty of choice good food and pleasant friendly service. Hotel breakfast is excellent, staff very accommodating.
“A slightly faded Grand Hotel”
Classic French style "Grand Hotel", spoiled by a common feature of such hotels - no air conditioning in the rooms. OK in spring, but was too hot in high season for my tastes.
“We will be back”
Have visited this hotel on many occasions. Always relaxing, excellent welcome at reception. Room very comfortable. Location excellent for the centre and beach within walking distance or use one of the hotel bikes. Breakfast was buffet but plenty of choice. Would definately go back.
“Good Value”
This was our second trip in a couple of weeks to stay in Le Touquet. Staff were very helpful and the courtesy car service was handy as the hotel is located a good 20 mins walk from the centre of town where the majority of shops, restaurants and bars were. Bedrooms were functional and clean with the beds being very comfortable. Swimming and sauna area could have been a bit cleaner looked a little dated. Overall the experience was a positive one and I would recommend this hotel to others.
“A good, comfortable hotel”
The hotel was clean, comfortable and had an excellent restaurant. It was in a quiet, residential area. Overall, a good place to stay for a night or longer.
“Not for cold weather!!”
Hotel is situated a significant walk from the town centre so for most people this would mean a taxi or car ride to the restaurants and nightlife of Le Touquet. Also there is no sea view, the front looking out over the river estuary (good for twitchers?) and the back over a built up area. The reception and public area decor was probably considered very smart at one time and still has some charm but is starting to look dated and wear is showing. The room was "compact" but adequate for a few days stay and looked as though it had recently been redecorated. The bathroom was clean but grouting starting to crack and decay in some areas. The bed appeared reasonably new and was comfortable. The main issue we had was that the weather was cold and very windy during our stay and the apparently modern windows let in a constant blast of cold air which overwhelmed the inadequate heating so we were freezing in the first night. We left a note with reception in the morning (not manned at 07:00) but nothing was done so we stuffed up the gaps with toilet paper and had a better second night. Also we had to rely on the cleaner to let us out of the hotel at 07:00 because the main doors were locked and the reception staff/porters were not in evidence. In summary I will be looking for alternatives next time I book in Le Touquet. I don't think the four star rating is justified. The price was reasonable but this was off season and the place was close to empty I believe.
“Not impressed - had stayed before and has gone downhill!”
Have stayed before and gone downhill - rooms are tired and need refurbing - I had booked a superior room as I thought and thought it was extremely basic! Mini bar fridge dirty! Waited all week for glasses / coke bottle to be removed and in the end stuck them on the cleaners cart! Bathroom clean but stained copper taps, badly brown stained toilet and chipped metal bath! No bed in the room for my son on arrivial which broke by the last night and he had to sleep on a matteress on the floor! Spa area no longer managed - never any towels for showering and no toiletries provided. Breakfast - always running out of pastries - one morning had to wait 30 minutes for a croissant! Would suggest fruits should be prepared on site not brought in! Disappointing as the location is lovely. Will come to Le Touquet again but no here!
