“Not good”

I would seriously shop about before you settle on this hotel as your choice. The hotel was unclean and smelly and on a really busy road of nightclubs and pubs which was noisy until the early hours. I slept fully clothed and my husband ended up with bites all over his body from god knows what was lurking in the sheets. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

“Fine for a quick overnight stay, great price!”

Only stayed for 1 night, coming from the Eurotunnel and enroute further south. The hotel and room in terms of decor were a little grubby and could do with a lick of paint! But the sheets and towels were clean and the room was quite large. The breakfast was a continental buffet with quite a bit of choice (cereal, bread, fruit, cheese, cold meat, croissants, etc). It was perfectly acceptable for a quick overnight stay, especially given the great price, but I wouldn't stay longer than that. There are a lot of restaurants and a few bars within walking distance of the hotel and prices are all reasonable. What we saw of Calais itself was nothing to write home about though! But we didn't venture much further than the hotel and immediate area as arrived in the evening and left first thing the next morning.

“Séjour à Calais”

Cet hotel est bien situé, il est à 5 minutes de la plage et 10 minutes du centre ville (à pieds). Pour la chambre, elle est correcte sans plus et correspond au standing de l'hotel. Il ne faudra pas s'attendre à plus. Les points positifs : le WIFI est gratuit, le tarif et le personnel sympa Un point négatif : la salle de bain de la chambre aurait méritée un petit "lifting" car son état est très moyen voir passable... Pour ceux qui comme moi, cherche un hotelLa pour pouvoir se ballader pendant quelques jours sur le cote d'opale, il s'agit d'un bon compromis.

“La Sole Meunière a Calais - un posto da evitare”

Abbiamo passato la notte dal 20 al 21 ottobre 2010 in questo albergo. Le misure della camera (2,70 x 3,00m) erano nettamentte al di sotto del sopportabile. Le attrezzature del bagno erano in pessime condizioni, piastrelle rotte, tubature esterne arrugginite, coperte di sporcizia vecchia, un gabinetto con scarico a funzionamento elettrico del tipo "Sanitrit", anche questo corredato di varie tubature esterne in pessime condizioni. Un filo elettrico scendeva lungo lo stipite metallico della doccia, sparendo sotto il piatto della doccia stessa. Unico appoggio nel bagno una mensola di vetro instabile e inclinata verso l'esterno. Durante la notte si sentivano i forti rumori degli scarichi dei gabinetti delle stanze adiacenti. Lo sconforto ci ha portato a prendere un traghetto molto mattiniero per Dover!
