Tiny Room but very comfy bed and great location

Posted 10-May-2014 on Hotels.com
Have stayed here many times over the years, including years ago when it was called the Hotel Commercial. It is in a great central location with secure on site parking (extra cost). Staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are rather small but with comfortable beds, ideal for a short stay. Breakfast seems a bit pricey but there are plenty of quality patisseries/boulangeries and cafes nearby at very reasonable prices. All in all a great value hotel. I'll be back!

Second visit.

Posted 05-Apr-2014
Pros: Consistent, not least in the welcome from the receptionist who remembered my father and I from our previous visit.
Cons: The decoration of the lift.
Location: Wxcellent - right in the centre - two minutes from the Catheral for the daily Mass and five minutes from La Belle Epoque - a stunning restaurant.
As good as the first - Ibis is consistent and the Ibis is Saint Omer is no excepion.

Great location and a nice, clean hotel

The main square is only 100 yds away and you know what to expect with an IBIS. Rooms clean a little spartan but everything works and there's a good free wifi everywhere. Interior parking at extra cost. Good breakfast at reasonable price, again extra.Very friendly staff and alovely town and area to visit, within easy reach of the Chunnel.

great location, but hotel needs a refurb

Great location - but the bathroom tile grouting was filthy!. You have to ask for a shower mat to stop you slipping in the bath. Its also a shame that they don't provide a kettle in the room - but i suppose they want you to buy their drinks?

Nice cheap hotel near centre of the town

Posted 02-Dec-2013
Pros: Clean and tidy, friendly staff
Cons: Provide more food at breakfast later near the end of breakfast
Location: Restaurants close by are very good value for money and excellent food! Excellent market on Saturday morning in the market square which is close by.
Have stayed in this hotel on a few occasions, have previously had rooms that overlooked the front and he side and the road noise can be unbearable. This time asked for a room overlooking the car park hitch is very quiet but, I felt you certainly compromise wih the size of the room which was extremely small, tidy and well kept. Staff were very polite and always keen to help. I found the hotel was full of English it would appear that the hotel is set up for he English. Breakfast don't be late down as there is very little left!! Good value for money.

Good overnight stop

Half an hour from Calais. A prosperous town and the hotel bang in the middle with plenty of lively bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The hotel had a bar and a restaurant, but it looked quite dreary compared to the lively town square 50 metres away. The room was adequate for the job. The bedding was clean and the room was clean. There was a small bathroom, but only 1 tiny bath towel each - no hand towel and no soap, just a liquid soap dispenser. One night was enough but it was good value for the money.
