“Great overnight stay.”

Very nice ,clean little hotel.Ideal for overnight to or from ferry/shuttle.Not so good for a longer stay as rooms cosy with not much luggage room.Room was very clean and warm,bathroom was great..very hot shower. Lady on reception was very nice and extremely helpful.Breakfast is extra but also very nice..bread and croissants very fresh. On the edge of main town but ideal for walking into Calais.Handy for rail station if needed.Would definitely use again and recommend

“Great for short stay”

This was the 3rd time I've stayed in this hotel and for the price, it cannot be faulted. Great central location with free car parking. Not the largest rooms but clean and comfortable.

“Very Very Cheap, Central and Friendly Helpful Staff. NO Frills”

Amazingly cheap, I would only stay for 1 or poss 2 nights, it's a stop over hotel but defiantly much better than the camp site next to the ferry port (yuck). I must admit when I booked the hotel I was expecting the worst as it's so central and cheap, I really thought I might be horrified but although the place is dated and run down in the public areas, I must say the room was very clean, not too small, the beds were comfortable and the shower in the room was amazing, very powerful. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again if I ever needed somewhere to stay in Calais overnight but I would ask for a room on the 1st floor as it was pretty warm at night and I didn't want to open the window as we were on the ground floor and it felt a bit vulnerable.

“Simple, cheap and extremely pleasant hotel”

Very simple , basic and clean stop off for the night. Very clean and perfect location in Calais Hotel BONSAI Gare is right in the middle between the busy town and the restaurants that lead to the beach about ten minutes walk away. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended and cannot be faulted at such a cheap rate.

“Cheap for a reason”

You get what you pay for here. Its small, noisy and not the cleanest but if you factor cost into the equation its ideal for an emergency stopping point. I wouldn't like to spend more than one night there though.

this is a grat hotel 20m from the train station and its the cheapest hotel in calais but is clean and has 24 desk.

“Infested !!!”

Its a real shame because the location in Calais is wonderful. But i can only remember the bugs! I have been bitten more times than i can count, and i think they were doing it on there was out of the hotel. Sorry people stay somewhere else

“Balladins hotel Calais Gare”

Easy to find, right across road from railway station. It's basic and clean, but then I didn't need 5 star luxury. Staff are very helpful and breakfast was great, just can't beat french croissants dipped in coffee.
